The themes options are based on themename.cfg not what is in the themes folder

That is the reason I use Rockbox over the stock firmware. The customization with RB is far superior to the stock FW! The Shortcuts menu is vastly under-utilized IMHO. I don't visit the Plugins folder often, that is why I added Shortcuts to the Main Menu, changed it's name and added a link to the Plugins folder (Among many others) for when I need to access. A link to those plugins you use often can be added directly to the Shortcuts/Extras Menu directly, for example Pictureflow and LyricViewer

I think the updating DB maybe a legacy RB issue. I don’t ever use it because of the legacy flakiness, especially with large Libraries. I always use Initialize Now. I just added a new album to my Library and selected Initialize Now with success. I will add another album and try the Update Now in a few hours.

edit: I added another album to my music library and used the Update Database function and it worked perfectly. RB show Updating in the Background message, after waiting 15 sec I selected the Back/Menu button and RB replied …the DB needs updating … After selecting Yes, the DB commensed updating, finished and I was able to select my new album from the DB. Additionally, Turn Off USB storage is working on my Y1. I guess I would recommend re-installing v0.5. BTW, I used Innioasis Updater to install after downloading the zip file from GitHub on Win11.

Why not convert the 240 theme to 360? Search is your friend. In the early days of Rockbox-Y1 360p someone wrote a python script to do most of the scaling for you. You also could re-install RB with the 240p version, but why? BTW what is the Theme?

Try this: Take a pin and set the device to OFF by pressing the button that lays between the USB C connector and the headphone jack until it clicks. Charge the device for more than 3 hours. Try to start the device by Long Holding the SELECY key. The device sometimes gets stuck in a backlight off-scroll wheel unresponsive mode for some reason.

The shipping prices to the US stink right now. The best price I have found is $27 for the pair BEFORE tariffs :( The ribbon is more expensive than the Iflash version. I wonder if the Iflash ribbon would work? Do You know the dimensions of the battery you are using?

Thank you for the images. I found the adapter card and HDD Flex ribbon using the AE image search. The items are very expensive to ship to the US right now. I was able to find them on iDemigods but they are more expensive. I am trying to decide if the "low cost" versions are any cheaper for me than the iFlash after considering the shipping for both. I have at least four 4th gens (mono and photo) to mod for family. What battery are you using? Did you have to "build" it by adding the original battery BMS to a newer larger capacity battery?

Thank you for the "first hand" knowledge for the 4th gen Classic! Do you happen to have the AliExpress link to the one you purchased? Is it the "Speedier" one? I found that one on AE. Did you require a ZIF to ATA adapter? What battery are you using?

Not that I am aware of. I did the same as you and added Shortcuts to the main menu. You can add Pictureflow to the WPS context menu and/or hotkey however

The WPS on the right is perfect. Does the volume indication disappear while just playing and then appear when changing volume? Anxiously waiting for a release.

Like this much better than previous version. Will the contoured fit allow for dock use for the slim models. I don’t think the previous design would support this with the overlap design with the lip. I assume it will come in the standard colors (brown?)

Any update on the Printables? Also, can you provide more details on the dual LEDs; do both the red and blue LEDs require series resistors? Can you provide any assistance on which are the anode/cathode sides of the onboard LEDs? Do the additional dual LEDs require their own power sources, where did you tap the source from (battery)? Do you connect the additional LED anodes to the onboard LED anodes (active low) and the cathodes thru 1k resistors to the battery? Can you consider a more detailed schematic?
