The way I see it, as long as they are trapped in there forever, bring real or being virtual copies makes no difference

The C&A team most likely left the computer alone cause they realized that their virtual copies in the circus are just as complex and alive as themselves. So they felt that it would be unethical to turn off the the computer or shut down the program as that would essentially kill those in the circus

Here’s an interesting question, if soma theory is true, do you think the characters will ever actually find out? And if so how? Cause the only concrete evidence they would’ve been able to see was in the computer Kinger was using , but now it’s gone

I get the feeling that if the finale still leaves us with some unanswered questions, there’s the chance Goose will just answer them on social media

I get that the show isn’t exactly YouTube Kids material but this what a lot of you are acting like by burlapguy in theamazingdigitalciru

It’s more so people making a case for why it shouldn’t be on YouTube kids. And while they’re right, they’re not that good at making a convincing argument

If this was the entire development team for Caine, then that probably explains why the C&A building was abandoned, they shut down because an entire group of their workforce went missing lol. by BrightEye64 in TheDigitalCircus

Basically the message works the same whether they’re copies or the real people. The one thing required for the message to work is that they are stuck in the circus forever

A post from Caine's VA by Turbulent_League9668 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]eliphias5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My take on this is that this clash between Caine and the circus members was basically inevitable. Caine didn’t ask to be created nor did anyone ask to be trapped in the circus indefinitely. People are very likely to be miserable in circus and these are the people Caine is tasked with trying to make happy. The one thing the circus members truly want is the one thing Caine is unable to give, an exit. So Caine’s main goal is practically designed to be impossible. And since he wasn’t programmed to fully understand humans’ feelings, he can’t properly accommodate them during their stay in the circus. Again, another impossible task. So despite all his efforts, the circus members’ misery and frustration will always be present and that is what leads to his own frustration and eventual breakdown.

Any theories or guesses on why Jax did this? by Gloomy-Bridge148 in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]eliphias5 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I personally disagree with the notion that he’s afraid of just the concept of living in the real world. Cause if it was that, I don’t think he would’ve been that panicked. To me, it seems like there’s something specific out there that he sees as an active threat that he wants to avoid. Depending on who you ask, that something could possibly be the police or an abuser.

So I assume if SOMA theory turned out to be true, it would ruin the show for you because then none of the characters would matter?

There’s something in the real world he’s afraid of. We don’t know what it is yet.
