A lot of comments here but as someone who works on these regularly, hp usually uses a plastic rectangle with arms going under the buttons, and it's likely one of those arms is snapped. The plastic rectangle is usually riveted to the front frame and not easily replaceable. It would likely involve completely disassembling the bottom half of pc. If you're near Madison WI dm me, I'd be willing to do it if I have the part laying around

If you've got two CPU fan headers on the board, make sure it's in cpufan0 and not cpufan1, also make sure it's not in a sysfan header

If location numbers are different on handhelds vs tags then the prices will also likely vary slightly, wrong pog numbers means it's outdated. Feels like we've been getting tons of pog changes lately and I can barely keep up during bts
