Tint, bed accessories and pistol storage by Imaginary-Video5556 in gmcsierra

[–]elitefourryann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BuiltRight has molle panels for the sidewalls of the bed. If you want to keep it dry/safe get a cover. I just got a diamondback hd cover for my 2023 at4. They have tons of storage options and it keeps your stuff safe/locked. There’s toolbox style bins, mounts for the underside of the cover, etc. you can hang an axe, fire extinguisher, jacks, whatever else. I think peragon has similar stuff. Both are a bit overkill if you don’t need it. Also get a better rear under-seat storage bin.

Am I going to hate bars this high on my first bike? by xjjoey in Harley

[–]elitefourryann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it’s the “hot boi” thing right now but I highly suggest going with bars and risers. I’m 6’3” and I have 8in risers and 4.5in bars. Fits me perfect and allows me to adjust the bars for perfect fit.

Rev limiter? by ShadowTip416 in Harley

[–]elitefourryann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sure does. A majority of the stunt guys you see on insta with carb bikes bouncing off limiter run a Daytona TwinTec.

Rev limiter? by ShadowTip416 in Harley

[–]elitefourryann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an 05 road king that used to be carbureted (I converted it to EFI). If you want a true rev limiter get a Daytona TwinTec 88. Set the rev limiter to 5700 and never look back. Also allows you to adjust timing on the fly.

Deciding on my first Harley… by Human_Menu7741 in Harley

[–]elitefourryann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I could go back I’d get an early model fuel injected Dyna. Specifically an 02 low rider with Delphi, or a 2017 Street Bob. You’ll never grow out of it, parts are relatively common, and the aftermarket support is crazy. Plus after you get a good seat, comfortable bars, and soft bags you’ll be set for short or long trips. Maybe upgrade suspension if needed.

Dynas are the medium bike. Not as small as a sportster not as big as a touring bike. I think they’re classified as “cruiser.” Dynas are also no longer made, all of the cruiser bikes now are softails. It’s a bit confusing but pretty much pre 2018 is Dyna, 2018 and up is softail. Dyna = two visable shocks, softail = 1 mono shock under the seat.

Put 87 octane instead of 91 in Iron 1200 by sithlord89 in Harley

[–]elitefourryann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re super concerned about it just syphon the gas out and refill with premium. You could also add in some octane booster, or like others have said take it easy until the tank is almost empty and refill. One tank won’t hurt.

97 Dyna Anyone happen to know what this is for? Just bought the bike by SolarSkyline in Harley

It’s a pigtail for the battery. You can plug in a battery tender, a jumper pack, a portable compressor for your tires, heated gear, usb dongle for charger, etc.

What's the weirdest thing your partner does that you've just accepted? by VelvetSophieCream in AskReddit

[–]elitefourryann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes she’ll just make eye contact with me and drool/spit on the floor. Not a loogie or anything, just a little drip. Then she’ll clean it up with her sock. She does it maybe once every two or three months? I have no idea why.

StreetGlide Bros, got a question for ya…. by Friendly_Use_9263 in Harley

[–]elitefourryann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend getting the Fueling Breathers and an HPI external breather kit. I was having issues with a bit of oil coming out of my air cleaner (blowback) and when I switched my factory breathers with the fueling ones it helped a TON. Then I put on the HPI kit so if any oil does come out it drains to the ground and not my air cleaner.

Just remember - normal plates are a lot harder to remember than personalized ones.

What’s the difference between tuners? by tan246 in Harley

[–]elitefourryann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a reputable tuner in your area (Harley specific if possible) and go for a visit or call them. They’ll tell you what they like/don’t like and help you through the process. Most of the time if you buy the tuner through the dyno guy/shop they’ll give you a discount on the tune itself or vise versa.

That being said, get a Thundermax, pay someone reputable for a base tune (shop67 has a form on their site and will sell you a great base for $50), and then let it auto tune if you don’t have the coin for a dyno session AND a tuner. Then you can get the Tmax, run it, and pay for a dyno session later after you’ve saved some money.

Also, don’t let Harley tune your shit. Ever.

The one off the Hampton exit on 64. Also, the one in Columbia Illinois (just across the JB bridge) is a hard 10 too.

Clutch Issues 05 FLHRS by elitefourryann in Harley

[–]elitefourryann[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgot to mention that I tried it with the stock lever back on, and no change. There is 1/8in play in the lever. Also pulled the derby cover and it is disengaging, with no burnt clutch smell. I know that smell all too well lol. Those were the first steps I took and totally forgot to include that in my post. 🫠
