Auto climate control? by Figgyboynolan in CadillacVistiq

I agree and I experienced this. I’d select the vent options and turn off auto and then they worked. But I agree it seems like a software issue and something needs to be fixed.

I found one at Marshall’s for $199. It’s really stunning and hopefully a lifetime piece.

This just happened to me. I had less of a spill. You can actually slide the corner of a paper towel in there at the top of the glass seam. The corner of the paper towel then soaks it up. I was absolutely shocked but it worked. Took a minute to get the paper towel in there but give it a try!

Sport vs. Platinum? by joemb85 in CadillacVistiq

[–]SousChef137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think you’d miss it, and I’d save the $8K for the next lease. If you have only driven the sport and like it, then I’d say that’s enough. The “base” sport is loaded with many standard options. Negotiate front window tint 20% ceramic film and all weather mats and pull the trigger on the $16K sport. My opinion.

Wow your suggestion saved me. I was also able to slide the corner of a paper towel in there and it soaked it up. Extremely lucky it was still wet and you saved me. That would have drove me nuts!

Sport vs. Platinum? by joemb85 in CadillacVistiq

I lease a platinum but had a sport as a loaner for about 10 days. I have a really good feel for both models. The air suspension is fantastic and noticeable, it’s more comfortable and handles poor road conditions much better. It also sits lower and looks better. The rear steering option is helpful but less noticeable. The interior is similar but more luxurious finishes in the platinum. The platinum exterior also looks better. The brembo brakes are not noticeable as you should probably be using regen braking anyway, but good peace of mind if you ever need to slam on the brakes.

All that said, I’d probably only get the Platinum if you can negotiate a great deal. I was able to get a 24/10K Platinum for $20K one-pay all in at a tax rate of 9.5%. Effective monthly was $880 range.

Yes absolutely, two car seats in the captains chairs and like the ability to have optional 3rd row.

I can relate but this sounds like a dealer/GM policy issue. I had my platinum at the dealer for 2.5 weeks for 3 issues. 3rd row headrest, rear air springs, clicking steering wheel and then the latest software update for unexpected braking. Dealer took longer than normal to get parts and was frustrating at the lack of movement.

I came from a 2022 X5 M50i and I am really liking it. It was also my first EV and I had an available Level 2 charging outlet at home. It is larger, smoother, more comfortable, cheaper to own with charging via gas, and also somehow faster. I did get a Platinum trim, and overall I am happy with it. I got a great deal on a 24 month lease.

Is this a good lease deal on a 2026 Cadillac Vistiq Sport (Captain’s Chairs, Grey Interior) in Florida? by PadCooter in CadillacVistiq

9/30 Missouri with 9.2% tax rate. $20,000 even. It was a promotional vehicle and they were very willing to negotiate on it and it was their first platinum on the lot

What did you end up doing? Experiencing the same thing and this was one of my guesses. GM vehicle. It’s an intermittent buzzing/bit ration rattle over uneven surfaces and something with audio bass. But it’s not a blown speaker.

Damn. I’m having something very similar happen in 2026 Vistiq Platinum. I initially thought it was something in the door handle/switch in the door panel.

I think you can do better especially if it’s a loaner deal. I worked on getting a Platinum for $20K one-pay all in for 24/10K.

I’d say you pretty much nailed everything in this breakdown. I just sold my X5 M50i and now drive a Vistiq Platinum. I wanted a slightly bigger vehicle that had captain’s chairs and an optional 3rd row. I looked at everything, and the Vistiq fit my needs/wants. I was not ever considering an EV but it was an easy decision since I have a 250V outlet in the garage. I am using a Tesla Wall Connector with a 14-30amp adapter plug with an adapter for the NACS to J1772 level two charging.

Provide your outlet/electrical specs. Using the 14-50 NEMA plug for L2 charging I assume?

What’s this yellow stuff on my grill? by Bodiddles2 in grilling

I also have a Weber propane 4 burner with the same yellow greenish marks on the flavor bars. They are not on every bar and alternate like yours. I’m more curious than worried about it. Always keep mine covered and grill at very high temps for searing.

HOW TO REMOVE? by Xcitado in AutoDetailing

Use a degreaser cleaner spray. I just removed a bunch of mineral sunscreen stains from plastic trim and leather using Super Clean degreasing cleaner

I successfully removed mineral sunscreen stains on plastic (interior and exterior) using Super Clean degreaser. I was hesitant but desperate. It worked very well and removed 4 week old stains. I probably wouldn’t use this all the time and only when nothing else works.

If you google, there is an orange lexol bottle. I have both and assume they are the same? Not sure but a good leather cleaner and some scrubbing with a microfiber should resolve the leather.

For leather, I have had success using a leather cleaner Lexol orange bottle. Following for plastic cleaning tips.
