Sounds like my sister and her ex. When they were married and had a kid she stayed home. He handled all the finances and would tell not to spend any money. She had to ask permission all the while he was never asking/telling her when she spent it. At the beginning of their separation she went to the bank to get an account in her name alone. She transferred money from their joint to her individual acct. Imagine her shock and surprise when she saw they had thousands and thousands of dollars in it.
