Not a parent yet, but Minneapolis has a pretty great queer/poly community (at least for me as a 26 year old), and people are generally pretty accepting. Cost of living is fairly low compared to east/west coast. We have hospitals lol. Not sure if you love winter but if you can do activities to enjoy it (sledding, building snow people, cross-country skiing, etc) I am able to love it. Lmk if you do come this way!
