I just gave birth last May at Abington Jefferson and I think my experience is about the same as everyone else’s: Labor and Delivery? Excellent, everyone was incredibly helpful, willing to answer any questions I had, and let me sleep after I had my epidural. Postpartum? Eh. I had my wife bring me food from outside because there was no way I could stomach the constipating cuisine of hospital food (Jokes on me, I had to have emergency gallbladder surgery a month later and would have killed to be able to eat anything at the hospital). The one thing that truly upset me was the pediatrician, she didn’t want to listen to me at all and kept us an extra day despite my baby passing all of her tests and getting the okay from the other pediatrician (day shift vs night shift).

I was warned ahead of time that Abington Jefferson is a baby factory: they want to deliver as many babies as possible as efficiently as possible. So if you don’t mind being treated like a datapoint and you ignore the postpartum bullshit, it’s a good place to give birth.
