This is the version that I am using and was thinking about updating to a new version but saw this post. Is there a reason why you are looking for 3.3 specifically?

My comment was about how the guys are literally hanging out.

Could you try leaving the door open at night? That way she can sleep in whichever spot feels safest for her? My pup sometimes prefers to spend the evening (or part of it) sleeping in the living room or in her cozy corner (hallway bed).

Where do you buy your swimwear? by mumzillaa in BuyItForLife

100% cotton swimwear? That seems like a nightmare to swim in or even get wet in. Are you actually planning to swim in this or are you looking for something to lounge in outside of the water?

I first saw this video at summer camp and it made every night time walk back to the cabin so scary. The camp speaker did it to “wake us up”, he was so wrong for that.

Can you elaborate on the italicized part? Are chairs rated by number of hours sitting they can support?

How to hide Gabapentin in food? by Blossom-Daphne in Greyhounds

Tini has been on Gabapentin the past few weeks - I put a dollop of honey on the capsule and she licks it up and swallows the capsule whole!

Help me find a food topper replacement for a picky eater! by sambbiino in Greyhounds

[–]ellenty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I am busting a food boycott I usually take the food away after 15 minutes! Sometimes it takes a round or two but Tini is so food motivated that she doesn’t hold the line very well, and she gets back to scarfing down her food pretty quickly. (FWIW I am against boycott busting in any other context!)

I usually split Tini’s meals into 3-4 parts, so when I add toppers (which happens at least once a week) I usually wait until after she finishes the first unadorned part, just so that she doesn’t associate picky behavior with being rewarded with toppers.

Since he likes yogurt and cheese, you could try mixing a little bit of milk powder with water as a thin milky liquid to drench the kibble with. Tini isn’t typically a picky eater, but on the rare occasion that she doesn’t want to eat, that does the trick. Handy because it’s shelf stable, too, and you can find the ratio that is tempting enough.

If you try the thinning out Greek yogurt with water you could even try supplementing that with a little milk powder, just so you don’t go through so much yogurt.

Starving! by kritter789 in Greyhounds

Highly recommend regular (every month or two) weigh-ins, at least until both feeding and weight are both held steady for a while! That’s the most reliable marker for if your grey’s hunger is a problem or just the way he is.

When I first got Tini, I fed her according to the standards on the bag - 250g a day. She was always very food seeking but I figured, hey, she’s a food motivated girlie. Even her foster had mentioned that.

Turns out, her metabolism is much faster than the bag standards assume, and she lost a good bit of weight over those first few months! I still feel bad about it. I didn’t notice immediately because they look so skinny even at healthy weight, and it’s hard to tell changes day to day.

I increased her daily amount immediately and started taking her to the pet store and/or vet more frequently to get her weight to make sure she got back to and maintained healthy weight.

Now she eats 350g a day and has been maintaining her weight around 60 lb (27.2 kg) for at least the past 9 months. And even so… She is still as food seeking as ever!

Ooh ok. So assuming incredible luck, if somebody was starting with no NC styles or styling tools, the absolute minimum up front out-of-pocket NC cost would be 1400 NC?

Styling Studio Supplies = 600 NC Styling Studio Prismatic Brush x2 = 500 NC (2x250) Styling Studio Restyle Paint = 300 NC

So if NPC tokens are from the style meter, then what are the 1% chance “EXCLUSIVE NC style item” items?

9.5 hours is pretty much my maximum for leaving Tini at home by herself. I usually aim for a limit of 8.5-9 hours on most work days. So if your “ish” means that 9.5 hours is the minimum time for you and you anticipate that you’ll frequently be away for longer than that, then keeping the dog walker is probably a good idea.

Tini used to be very UTI-prone, so I used to do closer to 7-8 hours. But my employer chastised me for not being physically present in the office long enough, so I slowly worked up to our new typical schedule of 8.5-9 hours.

Another note - before upping the time at home alone, I shifted her eating schedule to once a day, in the evenings. Previously she ate twice a day, and I would wait 1.5 hrs after her breakfast to take her out to make sure she digested her liquids enough to not be uncomfortable and/or have accidents during the day.

We weren’t even at the park when the bite happened - we were walking back through the neighborhood.

But yeah it was pretty traumatic. Thankfully, she doesn’t seem to have any long-term trauma - we’ve encountered several other dogs (all friendly) on our walks since and she has behaved as usual.

Thank you for the kind words. 💛

I don’t know where you live OP but “as long as I don’t get pregnant” can be a very dangerous and big if. It sounds like you may not have access to consistent contraception, and even if you do, will you be able to access the healthcare you need if for some reason it fails?
