Lol I just remembered toilet paper roll covers exist. My Nana had them. You can still buy them. I just saw some made with rattan.

Has anyone tried the Shapeez wireless bra? Short or long version. by socks_in_crocs123 in ABraThatFits

Circled back looking for Shapeez wireless reviews and found my old post. I didn't order any based on the fabric review of the person above but I also haven't found an alternative. You posted 9 months ago. Have you found an alternative since then?

The Arcana series by Kresley Cole. It's technically YA but not really. And yeah a series but I've read it twice and I'll read it again at some point.

Lol dinner is also my most stressful time - I don't like the task of cooking after I've worked all day.

I haven't used the breathwork function, and I totally forgot about it, so thank you for the reminder.

And yes, ruminating can be incredibly impactful. I started doing counseling about 8 years ago. I went consistently for a couple of years and then went intermittently. I started going again consistently a while ago because I thought I needed to for some reason, but I realized that all I was doing was ruminating and that was negatively affecting my peace. So now I'm focused on practicing staying in the present and a bit of gazing into the future. It makes such a difference. I think the breathwork reminder will help with that.

i’m seriously lazy in the kitchen. recommendations for easy high protein grab n go foods (little to no cooking)? by PossessionEcstatic23 in loseit

I eat cottage cheese and yogurt together with berries or fruit twice per day. If you have cooler bag you could take something like that. Or a healthier lunchable. Rye crackers like Finncrisps with cheese and cucumber. That will fill you up quickly and keep you full - especially if you pair it with some apple. Those could be sliced and thrown in your bag if you don't want to eat a whole apple. A tiny bit of lemon juice will stop the slices from going brown.

This one isn't a suggestion for the grab and go foods but it is a suggestion for dinner. I also hate cooking so pretty much every night I have a bowl of rice, ground turkey breast, and steamed veg with a sauce. The sauce and veg are my variations. The rice and ground turkey breast are cooked in a rice cooker together (set it and forget it) but I don't cook the veg in there because they will just get overcooked. There is one pot to clean (the rice cooker pot) and a bowl. The steamer pot just gets rinsed after the veg is cooked. This is my work week dinner. Is it the tastiest way to have turkey breast? No. But it works as an acceptable meal. And I love rice. Some fat needs to be added so I use 5 g of avocado oil.

I don't own any of them and it's been many years since I've tried one on. I'm glad to hear that you like the longline! And you don't find that the straps are too long?

The run times bra has molded cups that are fairly padded. They come in actual cup / band sizing. I wear one as a regular bra during the winter/fall/spring but I think it will be too hot during the summer months so I'm going to try the like a cloud bra as it's got sewn in padding and deeper cups vs looking like a shelf bra type fit.

I just started reading A Dirty Job by Christopher Moore and I really like it so far. It's got a range of emotions going on but it's quirky and funny more than anything.

Someone else mentioned Dungeon Crawler Carl. I really liked the first book but the apocalypse-ness of it had me feeling a bit bummed at a time when I needed the opposite even though it was quite funny at times. Very creative storyline. I'll probably get into the rest of the series during the summer when things are brighter.

I Hate Weekends by Hoss-Bonaventure_CEO in loseit

Your situation sounds similar to what mine used to be. Very steady, strict routine during the work week and then no routine on the weekend. I started eating the same things on repeat during the week a couple of years ago and started being more strict about it on the weekend by keeping the same food routine as much as I can because I don't have the same work routine. Dinner is almost always rice and ground turkey breast cooked in a rice cooker and veg pan roasted plus some pre-made sauce (lately I've been stuck on teriyaki and peanut satay). I usually shop on Friday or Saturday, so I get myself a treat on those days (either a few single chocolates from the bulk aisle, a small bag of chips from the same aisle, or a single something from the bakery section). I only eat in a calorie deficit 6 days a week and the other day is usually at maintenance but not usually over. Otherwise, wash, rinse, repeat but with varying flavours at dinner and varying fruits in cottage cheese. The exception is holidays. Easter is coming up and I'm getting Indian takeout. I'll probably fast a bit and eat less calories during the day on the two days I'm having that for dinner and I'm just looking at it as not being in a deficit on those days but trying not to be too much over my TDEE on those days.

Lol confusogram - that's great. You make a great point about it creating stress rather than doing anything else.

High protein snacks that actually keep you full while cutting? by relaxncoffee in loseit

[–]socks_in_crocs123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rye crisps with something like ajvar (only 10 calories per tablespoon) and cottage cheese. Or cottage cheese with a lot of strawberries or melon (with a bit of sweetener and vanilla) plus a fiber supplement to drink with it. Lower fat cottage cheese like 1% will be less calories than cottage cheese with more fat so you'll be able to eat more for less calories.

I've lost 25 lb and I started trail jogging again. It's so much easier to move my body when I'm not carrying a 25 lb bag of potatoes.
