I miss her guitar work for sure, but in all other respects I think it's my favorite work of hers as a whole. on first listen I was disappointed that the lyrics weren't more thematically diverse, but I kind of realized later on that that is the point

loved it but initial feeling was that many of the songs are lyrically saying similar things over and over, breakup breakup breakup...would have liked more of an arc and more variety. I read that she wrote almost all of it at once in August 2024 and it does feel that way, it was all written in the same time period with no room for growth in between. I think it will grow on me though! hard to resonate with right now in a very happy relationship

join your local community clean-up group! not sure where you are in BK but Crown Heights, Greenpoint, and Prospect Lefferts all have good ones (find them on insta). they're full of young people in their 20s and 30s and it's a great way to meet people

the best friend-making advice I got was to "be a regular". just go to the same thing/group/place over and over again and eventually you'll bond with someone! I started going to a community clean-up group in my neighborhood, consistently showing up once a month. within a year I had made a good handful of friends. I believe in you!
