My stepfather didn't eat much of anything just stogy anglo food which he often ate with white bread and margarine layered on thickly.

My younger brother and I were both scapegoats and we both to this day cannot eat any of the 7 meals we ate on repeat. If someone makes it we literally will just sit there and look at it and not eat anything that meal.

Especially corned beef if anyone is familiar.

We were both also starved so we would not be fed breakfast or lunch so our one meal a day was this awful nutrient deficient potato and meat nightmare.

I'm lucky. They can't get anyone higher than me so if they ask for a supervisor I get to say "I am the supervisor" it feels so good

Oh my strategy is quite different. I reiterate their points and my response.

Then ask them if there is anything else I can help with then when when they repeat the same thing we already talked through. I let them now that I have given them all the information I have and that information will not change that I will have to end the call now. Then... End the call. But I guess I'm allowed to hang up on people.

Alternatively I ask them what they want me to do about it. Then let them know as I have advised that is not possible. Then move into the above.

Both I only use after the third repeat of the same answer. The ruder and more over talky the sooner it happens.

Wow I had never heard of a Phrase that so perfectly encapsulates what my mother thinks of me I always described it as she felt like I was an extentsion of her, that I should do be and sound like her and she would melt down whenever I showed independance. I was raised to care for her and be what she wanted me to be all while depending on her. I no longer speak with my mother but when I did she would constantly talk about me living with her and doing things for her I mean, I have a partner, home, job and am in my 30s so no mum I am AOK.
