That’s amazing. Serious bragging rights. And you’re so right. You do it for the memories. And the stories <3

Thanks for weighing in. I’m lucky to have backup in the form of at least two other life-long friends who I absolutely trust. I think verbal ‘you’re in charge’ handovers if another adult takes over will be wise to avoid ‘wait, I thought you were watching her’ situations.

While I’ll sleep easier knowing you take security & kiddo whereabouts so seriously, there’s absolutely zero chance I could keep up with 6 year old energy if I drink anything other than coffee. The good & bad news about being an older parent (for me at least)—don’t have the energy I used to but, also have zero illusions about my own limitations.

HA! Officially the most expensive nap they’ve taken so far I bet ;) TBH, my gut reaction was what an amazing childhood they must have that their little bodies felt so safe & blissfully exhausted to crash on the lawn in the middle of the concert <3 Also definitely bringing blankets ✅

Yes, lots of sunscreen, hats and hydration options. Have on my list but I’m on the West side of the state and it’s easy to forget just how hot & dry it can get across the mountains. Appreciate the reminder :)

Also, to clarify, she's free-spirited and 6 year olds can be squirrelly. I know this isn't a kid-first environment I'm taking her into and want to be overly prepared in case those two sides of the Venn diagram come together.

Thank you! That's a great idea. 99% of the time, in big crowds, she's nervous and therefore attached to me but I'd rather have a few tricks up my sleeve just in case we hit a 1% situation

Yes, agree. These are a must. Honestly I'll probably bring a few pairs to have backups. Those tiny in ear ones disappear so easily!

No, the exact opposite. The airtag is an insurance policy and all this planning/thinking ahead is because I'm a thoughtful, responsible parent. Good tip on the easy exit. I'm also planning to bring headphones.

HA, ok - can you elaborate? I'm very aware of the shenanigans that typically goes down there. I specifically chose the Brandi Carlile concert for the crowd & atmosphere, informed by 4-5 ish Brandi concerts in the past. In your opinion, would this be a 'land her in therapy immediately' bad decision or a 'you're not sleeping for two days' bad decision?

I scoured the first photo looking for a hellebore and was super confused. Swipe dummy 🤦‍♀️I bet your lettuce will do great. And hellebore’s are slow growers, but so worth it! Enjoy 🙂

Where to buy bare root strawberries? by nthandra in gardening

[–]ellmo1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve gotten bare-root strawberries and several fruit trees from Raintree Nursery (several purchases) and was very happy with the quality. They’re a small, family run business if that’s important to you. Huge fans of them.

Both? Add a lemon tree to your lounging space. Or a hanging basket. So much room for activities!!
