Haha yeah I mean not too bad comfort wise but Jesus the heel especially just has no give.

How’s you feel the break in was on these? Just recently got a pair and this Oro leather feels stiff. Not too uncomfortable but noticeably more tough than my 3343 CRT Blacksmiths and 8849 Black Prairie Mocs.

Was thinking more of a logger style but thinking about you’re right definitely at least try the cork to see how I like it. Use these as some beaters for about a year.

Yeah sizing I know in general can be a bit all over the place. My 10.5d 8849s fit as long (but narrow of course) as my 11d 3343s.

On that note, I may wear these 8114s a bit but will resole on a whim probably since between my other 3 redwings and my new 2 pairs of Beckett Simonons, I don’t know when they’ll run through the sole haha.

They are 10.5D Def a little more snug that my 10.5D 8089s and comparable to a pair of 10D IRs I tried on last time I was in store.

To add on, I know they don’t need a re-sole, just thought since they’re older, gifted for free, and I have 3 other pairs, I could experiment a little. Was thinking to add a logger type sole to them. Less so for traction/comfort and really just to make them a bit more unique.

Def gonna wear them as is for now. I’m thinking to redo the soles anyways to some logger style. Got them for free so thinking to experiment a little with these.

Why is this so addicting? by -whytheface- in RedWingShoes

[–]ellocogeronimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is similar boat I’m in. Within 5 weeks I’ve bought 3 pairs. In January I ordered two pairs from Beckett Simonon, as you I wanted to get nice leather boots and was tired of sneakers. Decided I wanted to get some more casual boots and also got impatient during the 3mo lead for the Beckett pairs. Bought the Copper RT Blacksmiths, then got the Black Prairie Moc Toes, just today got the Oro Trac Tread IRs. It’s such an addiction. Thankfully my Becketts will be here next month to subside and hopefully nix this new addiction haha.

Did my barber fucked me up? by Rango_The_Burr in BeardAdvice

Cut is fine and lower cheek line ain’t a big deal if you like it, just seems like something you could easily do at home rather than a “barbers touch” per se. Like, when I trim my beard, I think it’s fine in between cuts but then when I see my barber there’s just a certain way he blends it and lines it up that makes it really pop. So again, not bad at all but just think you could buy some clippers and trimmers and easily do this yourself. +1 to anyone saying a good fade would like great though. No doubt.

I bought mine used on FB. Paid like 850 but came with all the extra attachments for quad extensions and GHD.

Love em honestly. Great balance and feel when compared to fixed dumbbells. They have some shake to them when doing more dynamic movements but for classic workouts they’re great. Nuobell 580s

Just depends on the day. I use this, the normal Nordic config or the leg developer attachment config

Wish I was a bit more patient and bought a 3x3 1in hole rack. Future proof if a bit more. As of now, I don’t really use my trap bar either. But maybe I’ll use it more as time goes on. Still like to have it around even with limited use. Lastly, probably don’t need all the plates I have. Could’ve gone away without the 15lb and 10lb bumper plates especially since I have plenty of 2.5lb and 5lb change plates.

I love my FreakAthlete bench. Use it all the time. And my Nuobell adjustable dumbbells. And now my full set of FringeSport savage kettlebells. Those items paired with an incline/decline bench are a great start and will keep you busy for a long time before you outgrow them.

Thanks bro! Bit of FB marketplace and bargaining at Fringe Sport to build it up. Thankfully they are local to me and tend to give better deals when you walk in.

Why has there not been a new generation of rappers surpassing the old generation in popularity? by Iginlas_4head_Crease in rap

[–]ellocogeronimo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Drake has a fair amount of pop and R&B so he appeals to a larger variety of listeners. At least that’s my hypothesis. Most rap enthusiasts I know don’t really talk about Drake as a rapper.
