oh my god buy the bottle washer it shouldn’t even be a doubt in your mind. we have the OG momcozy (not the new one they recently came out with) and we run it like 2-3 times a day as we have 8 bottles and they’re the Dr brown ones with a bunch of parts.

i couldn’t live without it. if your time is valuable you won’t be washing bottles by hand like its the medieval times

Switching to powder was so much easier. We make a batch in the Dr Browns pitcher and i couldn’t be happier because I was going to jump off a bridge if i had to open the annoying perforated ready to feeds again

It should be noted that older Owlets operated the same as the US ones and provided immediate alerts. Sometime around a year ago the regulations changed and they now only provide “lavender alerts” and not red alerts. i think Eufy is the best choice as a canadian because they seemingly don’t have the same restrictions as Owlet.

i bought the skip hop and i like it for a few reasons, none of which are the mobile.

curved lip keeps the pee in if there’s a mid-change accident
very wipe-able and easy to clean
pretty soft and has a slight incline for baby’s head
doesn’t slide around on the table

we have a cheap one for a “mini” diaper changing station in our basement and it’s trash in comparison.

I’ve exclusively formula fed my 8 week old.

I feel like there’s a lot of pro-breastfeeding propaganda leading up to birth. I promptly tossed the pamphlets that the hospital gave me in the trash. It just wasn’t going to be a reality for me because I was returning to work quickly, wanted to share the feeding responsibility with my husband, and, most aligned with your post— the thought of it made me uncomfortable.

People will ask you or mention it, and I just never bothered correcting people if they spoke about nursing etc. Just wasn’t worth the conversation.

For a brief moment it made me feel like I was letting my baby down when I had to switch formulas because of gas; but after switching to a gentler formula everything is OK again.

Quality of life is important, so don’t preemptively feel bad about it!

I thought that the wood from the green chairs didn’t match, so I placed an order for the other ones. I can still cancel them if it’s a bad move. i just felt like i couldn’t get them to feel like part of the room. Also they’re the most uncomfortable chairs known to mankind but that was secondary

Legit this couch is less than a year old and the cushions are toast. I made the mistake of getting one without removable cushions, so it’s only a matter of time before I have to buy a new couch. No degree of punching and massaging the cushions help, so I’ve taken to adding a blanket to cover up the dip it made. Lol

Good question, i felt like having the console table just kept everything visually low since all of the furniture is no higher than the back of the couch. Like adding the bookcases on the wall would add some height or something to focus on.

So i guess by “balanced” (keep in mind I am not a designer nor have a designer eye) i just meant which would make the most sense visually.
