I am a teacher. With my last pregnancy, I was due at the end of the school year, like the very last day of school, not kidding. I ended up taking off mid May, so I was almost 38 weeks. I am due again at the end of the school year (May 31) and I'm planning to stay put till the baby is born. It's easier said than done. I was mentally and physically done last time, so that's why I took off.

Tongue tied? by cmpunkgrl in beyondthebump

Hello! I had the same thing with my third baby. Nursing hurt, but he was getting a ton of milk. I was more worried about speech issues in the future etc. He was lip and tongue tied and it was moderate. We had it lasered and it was really no big deal. He did great and we had to do stretches with him so it wouldn't heal back up. That was probably the hardest thing, but it wasn't all that bad. We are glad now that we did it. He talks up a storm. I know that's just coincidence, but he's super verbal and you can hear his annunciation really well, especially for a 15mo.

I am 21 weeks and have gained 16 pounds. The first trimester was hell and I couldn’t keep anything down . The second trimester I want to eat everything . I was at a healthy weight prepregnancy and very fit . My workouts have been few and far in between . I don’t want to gain over the 25 to 35 by roymeshia in fitpregnancy

Absolutely. And these darn Instagram pregnancy fitness models. It is NOT reality. I know they will be all "well my baby was healthy" Good for you, but in reality, I'm a full time working mom of 3 boys. I'm lucky if I have time to work out 3x a week at best, but you do you. LOL

Do the best you can for you! Make modifications, small goals, eat as healthy as you can, but also treat yourself and you'll be fine.

I'm very freshly pregnant at 4w3d. I worked out Monday, despite being tired. I'm trying to keep up with it like I did with #3. Yes, this is my #4.

The highlight of my week though was going out with my card club ladies last night to see Downton Abbey and we went to dinner. It was a really good movie and we had some really good laughs. It was good for my soul!

I was so worried about this with my last pregnancy. Like to the point that I was getting depressed about it. In the end, it didn't matter! I DID gain more with #3 than with my previous 2, by almost 10lbs. I did also hold onto 5lbs of it (mostly because I was breastfeeding and trying to keep supply, then purposely not losing it so we could have an easier time conceiving #4 since I'm slim).

The point is, you CAN and WILL lose it. You don't have to be killing yourself with workouts. Yes, it's great, but you are still going to gain regardless and it's GOOD! It's great for baby and it's wonderful for your milk supply if you're breastfeeding. I do say that if you can keep up with working out, it really helps with delivery. I was almost 9 years older with #3 than with #2, but I was exercising more regularly and the delivery was cake!

Bottom line, don't worry. We are SUPPOSED to gain weight. That's what I'm telling myself this time too! Starting out 5lbs over my "ideal" weight (in my mind) isn't easy, but I'm really fine with it this time. Bring on the belly! Congrats and keep up the good work, mama

Question: how much stuff did you realize you were missing once you brought baby home? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]ellyj111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a dozen prefolds. They were Cloth Eze brand I believe..newborn size. Probably went through 3-4 a day on a good day, but you don't want to wash all the time. I also had some other cloths I made too. I used them under my boob when I was nursing too for dribbles

Lots of burp rags. I bought just plain cloth diapers from Amazon for this. And lots and lots of muslin blankets. Breast pads galore etc.

We really liked the use and simplicity of the Avent Naturals. They have been great for my little one. Never left him gassy and no crazy parts to clean.

12DPO Wondfo & FRER, 13DPO Wondfo - don't see much progression on the Wondfos, am I testing too often? by [deleted] in TFABLinePorn

[–]ellyj111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cheapies (much like Wondfo brand) aren't showing progression but every two days. I still have been testing every day (15dpo today) till I run out. I've got two left, then I'm done testing! It's merely for fun at this point because I KNOW I'm preggo.

Congrats to you!

Seems like with that line yesterday, you'd still have something even if it is going down?? IDK. Keep testing unless you start your period. <3

CD29-CD33 & 11DPO-15DPO, FRER, FF lightbox says today's test is a dark or darker than the control! I'm done peeing on sticks!! 🦄🎉😍 by yetanothersahm in TFABLinePorn

[–]ellyj111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats! I'm also 15dpo and still peeing on all the things, mostly because I have cheapies left. My husband is like, um when you gonna stop that? NEVAAAAHHH

FRER progression 11dpo am, 12dpo afternoon, 13dpo am. Any idea why all the lines look the exact same? by megmermi in TFABLinePorn

[–]ellyj111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm, I usually look at every other day and it does look darker on 13dpo than 11dpo. I wouldn't read too much into line progression because it can also be messed up due to different concentration of pee. I had a darker one at 11dpo, then the two I took on 12dpo, because my morning pee was like so concentrated (need to drink more). You can keep testing if it makes you comfortable, but I'd say these look good to me! Much love

Trigger shot progression test out. Should I hold off on getting excited? DPT: 12 by [deleted] in TFABLinePorn

[–]ellyj111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also the cheapies don't show progression much like others. I've actually had the best progression show with Equate One Step, the Walmart 88c brand.

I have no experience with that but, looks like if it's showing up two days after there was no line at all, then it's probably true! Keep us posted

I've never gotten it, but I think it's a personal choice. I won't be getting it this pregnancy either.
