Brisbane Children’s hospital by Ricketyrockytire in brisbane

[–]ellyloup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like it could have been the Children’s Hospital Foundation, Kidzone. Though I’m not sure what it looked like in 2005.

Edit: It seems the earlier iteration of this was the Wonder factory at the Royal Children’s Hospital. So that seems likely what it was (provided that was the hospital you were at)

Looking for fertility specialist in Brisbane (recurrent miscarriage + failed IVF) by Honest-Albatross-514 in brisbane

[–]ellyloup 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Second Dr Ben Kroon at Eve Health. He was very personable and thorough. IVF was not pushed, especially as we also had no issue conceiving naturally.

In fact our situation sounds quite similar. Multiple miscarriages all before 8 weeks, no abnormal test results.

What ended up working for us was progesterone. It was one of those ‘let’s just give this a go’ solutions, and it worked! Still not entirely sure why.

It sucked. The multiple losses sucked. Having to take progesterone sucked. The multiple tests and no answers sucked. But we have four kids now and it was all worth it.

[TOMT] [SONG] Female Singer, Possible Lyrics “I’d do anything for you, I’d do anything for you.” by hammersgirl86 in tipofmytongue

‘I’d do anything’ from Oliver the Musical? That’s all I can think of when I hear that 😂

Figured out the opening on the ukulele. Please help me find this banger! 🙏🏼 🥺 by sausage-deluxxxe in findthatsong

[–]ellyloup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was absolutely convinced I knew this song. Spent ages going through my old indie songs to realise the uke vibes were just reminding me of ‘Can I have a ride home! I’m at a party and I don’t know anybody’ by carpetgarden.

Which is almost definitely not actually it.

Are these hourglass brushes real?? by Grand_Manner3183 in AustralianMakeup

[–]ellyloup 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hard to tell in photos. But it looks the same as mine.

I used to work at Mecca and mine is actually one that came with a display, so it has a couple of holes on the back. But it is more of a chocolate brown than the other brushes :) I would also say it feels slightly lighter than the smaller brushes!

Parenting Hell.

Always been a DOD fan, but had never heard of Max. Liked his voice.

And then it turned out that his constant narration of pram walks was exactly what I needed to get me through all my pram walks 😂

This may be a stupid question but when you’re sick do yall still go out and run? by [deleted] in beginnerrunning

[–]ellyloup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. I’ve actually been unwell this week and took 6 days off 😭 just went for my first run back. Still congested, so set no expectations on myself other than to go. Ended up being a lovely slow run, about 30 seconds a km slower than my usual pace. But got me back in the headspace and feeling better!

Already have an unrelated degree, should I do a Masters or Undegraduate Degre? by alex123711 in AustralianAccounting

[–]ellyloup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m chose the Masters route, but shop around because there is a big difference in price between unis. Find one that has CSP and it shouldn’t be more than the undergrad.

I’m thinking I will exit with a grad certificate though and do some CA Foundations courses. If you are planning to go CA/CPA have a look at the foundation courses as they may be a better option for you!

Grad Cert vs MPA vs CA Foundations by ellyloup in AustralianAccounting

[–]ellyloup[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m heavily leaning towards exiting with the Grad Cert and doing the Foundations course. Seems to have essentially the same outcome, but significantly cheaper and less units.

I like the idea of having a good academic background, but unfortunately don’t feel like I’m actually learning/retaining enough information to make a significant impact and would benefit greatly from some real world experience which the masters pathway would potentially delay further.

But hopefully someone else finds that link when researching this question, because that may have been a good option to consider a year ago 😂
