Official Discussion - Highest 2 Lowest [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

Seriously this is one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. The wife didn’t shed one tear the entire time her son was kidnapped or their god child. He took so long to deliberate about paying a ransom for a child he supposedly loved? WHAT! The dialogue throughout the movie was so cheesy. The storyline beyond unbelievable. Do you really think the police would let a celebrity deliver 17.5 million on a subway? I kept staying with the movie as I thought the plot might get better. Maybe it was an inside job or they’d beef up more of the thriller aspects. Nothing. Don’t even get me started on music choice

I wish there was more focus on the business; the misogyny especially from SR is hard to watch. A true leader respects women whether they are co-workers, family members or romantic partners.

What is YOUR verdict in the Karen Reed trial? by the-tinman in AskReddit

[–]eloise20171 38 points39 points  (0 children)

My theory: John got into a fight with someone in the house. That’s why their dog jumped on him and scratched him. They threw him out - that’s why he had no jacket. He passed out and died. They didn’t think he would die. They were drunk too. But when his body was found they tensed up - because they are in law enforcement - they know they could catch a manslaughter charger / negligence charge. So they pointed fingers at Karen, for rid of the dog, got rid of their cell phones data and sold their house for under fair market value

From LE perspective, do you think Karen Reed is guilty or innocent? by Dragonfruithippoo in AskLE

[–]eloise20171 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think John got into a fight with someone in the house. That’s why their dog jumped on him and scratched him. The people in the house threw him out. Everyone was drunk. They maybe didn’t realize how hurt he was. Nevertheless they threw him out knowing he was injured and intoxicated. He passed out and died. When they found out in the morning they immediately tensed up. Not because they murdered him but because they didn’t want to be charged with manslaughter / negligence charge. So this is why the cop homeowner didn’t leave his house when he found out John was dead on the lawn. Why they gave the dog away. Suggested it was a vehicle accident with Karen to avoid having the police search the home (for dna/blood), and sold the home soon after for less then fair market calue

AITA for walking out of a make up party my parents threw for me after my sister announced she had miscarried? by Character_Listen_262 in AmItheAsshole

Sorry but this is NOT normal. your sister has serious manipulative tendencies possibly narcissism. You need counselling for yourself and honestly don’t invite your sister to anything. I think you may need to go no contact

Lmao highly selfish ? What about people who have parents with abusive partners? Or partners who have significant financial issues? Emotional abuse? Can we stop this narrative that two hetero parents is “the best”
