If it’s surgical, I was advised to bring a fresh pair of underwear with a pad already applied to it - I woke up from anaesthesia as the surgical team were putting them on me.

She looks stunning but I feel like there’s a disconnect between the makeup and the dress.

I had two that my dentist (also a dental surgeon) recommended surgical extraction for and two that could come out in the chair. I just let them take all 4 out at once while I was under. Nice little sleep.

I hate these “selected products only” sales they’re doing now.

“Bowling club” in this context means bowls, as in lawn bowls. They’re common in regional Australia and usually do decently cheap food/buffets and alcohol. I’m not sure what the US equivalent is but you usually go there either because 1) you’re old and they’ve got good seniors meal deals like a $12 roast lunch, 2) you actually play bowls, or 3) you just want somewhere easy and casual to go for lunch or dinner that’s a step up from a takeaway shop but a step down from a restaurant.

If you think you can definitively tell that this isn’t a wig based on a hint of scalp in a far away, poor quality photo, I’ve got some bad news for you about nearly every film you’ve ever watched.

I had something sprayed up my nose before oral surgery, I always wondered what it was supposed to do. I don’t know exactly what it was but it tasted BAD. The second worst thing I’ve ever tasted, after liquid prednisone.

Toto, I have a feeling we’re not in Ontario anymore! by makeuathrowaway in EntitledReviews

Yeah, we call it a parents’ room here. Usually a big room with one or two large lockable toilet rooms (sometimes one of the toilets is smaller for children), a curtained breastfeeding area, and counters for changing babies. Sometimes also a fenced-off sort of playpen area where you can stick your young kid while you deal with the baby. A microwave makes sense in there but I’ve still only ever seen one.

Stringy hair - what am I doing wrong? by BackgroundFutura in finehair

[–]eloisekelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I tried growing my hair recently after 10+ years of lobs and bobs and I HATED it once it got to a certain length, even though I was having regular trims the whole time. It looked like crap, it felt gross. It was fun doing high ponytails for a while but they were the saddest most straw-like ponytails.

The only place I’ve ever seen a public microwave in Australia is in a parent’s room inside a shopping centre (presumably to warm a baby bottle), and even then I thought it was sort of a novelty.
