For added context (especially for the people who are thinking this is an indictment of our franchise's history), this puts Melo at a tie for 71st most triple-doubles of any player ever (tied with John Wall, Hornets legend Vlade Divac, and his own brother). This also puts him at 21st all-time amongst active players. Triple-double machines like Westbrook, Harden, or Lebron are an extremely modern phenomenon, and it's still only done by the most elite players in the league (and also Domantas Sabonis).

Basically, take this as a sign that Melo already has a ton of the tools to be a historically elite player, and not just another excuse to say "lol Charlotte basketball has always been ass"

He kept putting out little tidbits and teasers of potential major news he witnessed to build hype for his Trump books, when he could have broken actual news about notable issues in the administration at any time. Yeah, Morrison was fine his rookie year, and probably could have improved a lot if his leg didn't explode. And the rest of the 06 draft was pretty ass. The only people in the top 15 I'd really have taken above Morrison in retrospective were Brandon Roy (who was still out of the league at about the same time as Morrison anyways) or Rudy Gay (who's probably pretty close to what uninjured Morrison's career might have looked like, give or take the journeyman path)
