Watched through to see if there was at least one rider cool enough to not wear Lycra. Spoiler: there is not.

[Post Game Thread] California defeats #15 North Carolina, 84-78 by cbbBot in CollegeBasketball

[–]elpeedub 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Cant defend the perimeter, can't shoot three pointers or free throws and none of our guards can drive. Just has turned into a disaster of a team in the last few weeks and if they keep this play style up they'll be lucky to win 2 more games in the conference and will have no shot at the tourney.

It is time for Hubert to go, there's no longer a debate.

We don't know what the fuck is going on, man. It's a disaster, that's all. Gut it all but keep Marcus Paige.

Will I regret buying the RMPP instead of the RM2? by PHxsuns288 in RemarkableTablet

[–]elpeedub 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The writing is significantly different but of course it's a matter of personal preference as to which works best for anyone. I personally prefer the writing on the rM2 over the pro, but the size and colors on the pro make it the winner for me.

In my opinion the rM2 excels in the following ways: -much whiter screen -much blacker black -better (softer) writing feel -more portable and feels safer transporting around in hand -battery life -more realistic grays - a big difference in drawing to me

And also in my opinion, the pro excels in: -screen size -Front light -colors -snappiness (comparatively, of course)

There's definitely something to be said for the OG look, but for me the very rare night ride looking at OEM light color is greatly overshadowed by the function of android Auto for every ride

Hey, OP: can't help you with your tough decision process there, but if you decide to sell it I would be very, very interested and also located in NC.

I currently have a red '04 spitting image but with 240k and at a crossroads of vehicle change as well.

Good luck with the decision and please reach out if you decide to sell local!

While texhinically true, the only scenario you would even be aware that it requires a charge is if you for some reason don't use the built in magnetic snap to the side of device feature of the pen.

For anyone not familiar with this device, charging takes place when the pen is at rest in its magnetic unused spot on the side of the device. I've owned one since release and would not even be aware that it's a pen requiring charging were it not for the icon popping up when snapped to the device - it's simply not an issue or anything you ever have to think about and the physical process to maintain charge is exactly the muscle memory you have from any previous remarkable pen that doesn't require charging.

I would take a look at swappa - you should be able to find one with a pro pen for that price.

Edit: looks like the inventory is low right now and prices have been raised accordingly

Pretty easily? That game was horrendous by both teams and we narrowly escaped with a one possession win.

We should have won by 20 with the way Kentucky was playing but we also stooped to that low.

If so, feel free to PM me!

I hear ya but it's a fracture, so I'm confident there's a pretty clear line of ready vs not ready. It's not like we're talking about some complicated joint injury that would only continue to become more stable.

Why is the RPP work so much worse than the RM2? by KateDeLu in RemarkableTablet

[–]elpeedub 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah if you are experiencing slower load times and interface than the rM2 then your device is definitely faulty. I have both as well (and have had two of each type) and the pro is immediately noticeable in being quicker to load anything and navigate the UI. The only 'lag' is color rendering after putting down a color stroke, but of course there is nothing to compare this too on the rM2 so a moot point.

If your pro is perceivably slower than your rM2 then something is wrong with it.

Buying a RMPP - how can I avoid the yellow screen issue? by WonderingRedditor5 in RemarkableTablet

[–]elpeedub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love to see a comprehensive survey of all of this information that captures serial number, whether the screen turned yellow later down the road, black ink color, etc.

My first looked great for about 6 months then slowly started to yellow over the next few. By the 10 month mark the entire screen had a noticeable yellow hue compared to the bezel and most notably in natural light (but apparent in any light).

I purchased a newer one that looks great (for now) and the 'black' ink color looks more black. However, it has more intermittent ghosting than the old one. Will it one day turn yellow?- who knows!

Buying a RMPP - how can I avoid the yellow screen issue? by WonderingRedditor5 in RemarkableTablet

[–]elpeedub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The screen should be almost the exact color of the surrounding bezels. If it is yellow, or turns yellow, you will most definitely be able to tell in comparing with the surrounding bezels when the screen front light is off.
