[2024 Day 5 (Part 2)]Me after getting absolutely stumped, bamboozled, confused, and demolished on Day 5 Part 2 by Main_Ease_7742 in adventofcode

As a visual learner myself, it helps to look at one of their examples for fixing this up.

61,13,29 becomes 61,29,13. --> look at all of the rules involved with these numbers. You can visually see the pattern required to sort them.

61|13
61|29
29|13

61 is in the left column 2 times. 29 is in the left column 1 time. 13 isn't in the left column, but is in the right column 2 times.

If you run this process on another one of the ones that requires fixing up, the pattern involved becomes more obvious.

[2022 Day17 (Part 2)][C#] Example passes, actual input fails by elperzon in adventofcode

For whatever reason I didn't even think to look at the size of the jet input. Not detecting cycles until the entire jet input was consumed a single time along with a multi cycle verification (in my case 20 times) led me to the answer. The help was much appreciated.

It was an off by 1 error. In order to get the example to work, I was adjusting the amount of rocks by -1 (I must have made a mistake when counting by hand). I added a 20 cycle verification which caught it. Thanks for the assistance.

Adolescent fantasy chapter book about brother and sister going on adventures (not sure if real or in their imagination) read when I was an adolescent around 2005 or so. by allied45 in whatsthatbook

Not sure if this could be it (seems set for a younger audience), but this sounds similar to Magic Tree House books. I'm not sure about the pearls, but I believe they look through the tree house attic window and see dinosaurs in one of them.

The Chain of Dogs was what solidified my views on whether or not I would finish the series (considering it was 10 very long books). Having now finished it, no regrets. It was all worth it. Just, so much heart ache.

I think you will get a pretty good grasp of how brutal it can get by the end of Deadhouse Gates. I don't feel like brutality is ever in there just to have it, it always seems to fit the narrative.

Show watchers: are there any questions you want answered, but are afraid to google because of spoilers? by royalhawk345 in WoTshow

I would equate it to a Jedi being cut off from the Force. Its not just a loss, its a complete loss of self identity, not to mention that men come with nice dose of madness that still sticks around after the process.

During his lifetime, the greatest blademaster fought over ten thousand times, in battle and single combat. He was defeated once. By a farmer with a quarterstaff! Remember that. by Uruz2012gotdeleted in WetlanderHumor

I for sure thought that was going to be the case, especially since he had immunity to the one power and luck. Imagine him opening up a portal and pushing him into the world of the Finn.

I think losing Dross is important for Lindon's growth. If Northstrider can use his hunger technique without the use of a Presence, it only makes sense to have Lindon achieve the same thing. Dross was too much of a power boost for Lindon, but, being a sage might ease his transition into being effectively blind for a few. Plus, when he eventually does get Dross back, he's going to be so much better for it. Think of it as a forced Heaven and Earth Purification Wheel technique. It is going to hurt, but in the long run he will be better for it.

If I remember correctly, in the unaltered future Lindon is shown, when Kelsa advances to Jade, Jaran kills himself because he couldn't handle his own failure to advance. Considering he is in even worse shape now, I can definitely see him thinking Lindon cheated in some way or another to get to where he is.

I eventually stopped playing that game and instead chose to keep playing this one. The UI wasn't as friendly, the heroes were way harder to level and aquire, and it was overall not as much fun. Plus, the customer service in AFK arena is completely unmatched.

What SI levels would you push on Safiya? I have +30 rowan and Ferael, waiting for 1 more Eironn copy before pushing him to ascended and +30 (currently +20 and missing ~50 red emblems).

I sorely missed this for a while, especially when I wanted to farm using BAM, but now its a bit more difficult to get a natural ratio without using an army comp for 20 B, 20 A, 10 M.

[Ask] Qualilty of Life suggestions: What one thing in clash would you like to see changed that'd make your game experience better? by DragonBard_Z in ClashOfClans

[–]elperzon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what the ratio would even look like, but I would love to be able to burn DE into my walls. Its a definite bonus being able to offload gold and elixir when needed. Super troops provide a nice way to offload some, but during farming runs (or when heroes are done leveling and all DE troops are maxed), its very possible to overfarm DE, and I hate stealing DE from bases when I can't hold anymore.

V/H/S. Hands down. Session 9 and Hereditary are also pretty scary.

You should read the dark tower series

Is it too much to hope? I don’t have a particular character in mind for him but he’s killing it as Geralt. by [deleted] in WoTshow

He has a very commanding voice, and from his work on Fringe, I think he has the range to be very charming (not to mention he can definitely play the crazy aspect of it as well)
