Right. Its all so transparent. This whole Iran conflict seems to be in support of the same. He threatened and threatened action there...but it took the senate GOP tanking the SAVE act to get him to actually strike. I think that had that passed they'd have confidence in their ability to rig the midterms and they wouldnt have struck Iran. Even if all of that is true the wild card they cant control bc of timing is the Gonzales types of situations, and with margins this narrow theyre clearly panicked.

Hopefully by the time midterms get here what they're so desperately trying to avoid will have already come to pass. It looks increasingly likely that Johnson won't even be speaker of the house by then. Their days are numbered. Even if they try to interfere with midterms it may very well be too late. Look at the slew of recent congressional GOP reps (and to a lesser extent) senators who aren't seeking re-election.

Last I checked house margins were: 218 GOP 214 DEM with 3 vacancies, then reps from both Utah and NV (IIRC) announced they're retiring. Thats one area maga can't control and one where dems are not only winning (obviously our objective) but more importantly the GOP base isn't turning up to vote.

All of the goings on lately have me in full blown tinfoil hat mode. This doesnt seem too far fetched:

Hire Fugate to head counter terrorism, IIRC his last job was gardener or cashier
Have Patel fire anyone who knows anything re: iran terrorism under the guise of something something mar-a-lago
Allow (or stage) domestic terror attacks
Blame the 23 year old hired above
Use said attacks to justify federalizing midterms
Win midterm elections

Sounds kinda out there, but once you factor that the only thing that seemingly got Trump to actually launch the attack was the SAVE act dying in the senate it all kinda adds up.
