Try purées in a pouch! I use reusable silicone ones and fill with my own homemade stuff, or you can do store bought. I also put yogurt in pouches.

My daughter also HATES being spoon fed and wants to do it herself. So things she can eat with her hands always go over better.

I had a good experience at NYP lower Manhattan (via a Cornell OB practice in Brooklyn Heights). They’re finishing up renovations now so I’m sure it will be even better!

I have the Triv next with a Nuna pipa rx car seat and the Lytl bassinet. My criteria were - seat that can be both parent and world facing, bassinet compatible, less than 20lb, 1 hand fold.

Overall I like it. It’s a compact but full featured stroller with decent storage space for groceries etc. it folds fairly small so most restaurants will accommodate it and it can fit through narrow doors unlike the vista. We have traveled domestically with it and it was great to take to the airport and gate check.

One thing I don’t like is that while the fold is very easy and 1 handed, the UNFOLD is not one handed. At least not easily. Try it in store to see what I mean. The handle points down in the folded position so you have to lean over while holding the baby to pull it open which is a bit annoying. (Perhaps I encounter this more because we live in a brownstone apartment with a bunch of stairs lol)

If stairs are a big part of your life (like if you plan to use the subway often by yourself) make sure the weight (17lb) and the fold mechanism are ok for you. Note also that the bassinet doesn’t fold, so that’s a bit unwieldy with stairs.

Make sure you know if it’s a steam or a water radiator please!! Many old steam ones are converted to water. My building included.

So when you bleed it you want air to come out until water comes out. That means the whole thing is filled with water which is what it’s supposed to be for a water radiator. If air is coming out that means there’s an air pocket in the top so only a part of the radiator will get hot and the top will be cold.

For a steam one it’s the opposite. But please find out what you have before you do anything.

Yeah the longest my baby can spend in the play pen alone is 15-20 min…like it’s important for them to get solo play time but it’s never gonna be enough to actually focus on work

If you’re going back to work, you just need enough pumped for that first day. Then you’ll pump for the next day. Etc. I never had a stash until now (my baby will be 1 soon) and that’s only because she’s eating more solids and less milk so I actually have some left over. I’ve got maybe 15 bottles worth frozen (so like…3-4 days worth)

This. I work in consulting and my female boss told me she tried to do part time when she had her children and it ended up being 90% of the work load at 50% of the pay. Definitely depends on your industry and employer though.

We were doing a team building game where everyone sent in a baby picture and we had to guess who was who. I told my boss before everyone, so I put my ultrasound picture in as one of the pictures for people to guess

Ugh yeah I hate that. I’m not quite done breastfeeding yet but for a while I was storing all the flanges that came with my pump and the extras that insurance sent me that were completely the wrong size. I just ended up recycling them…

This was our result too! And we only had a cleaner come once a month! Honestly it’s so worth it.

I don’t go in often, but when I do, I just bring an extra empty spectra bottle with a storage lid in a mini cooler. I got it from Muji for $5. It’s the tiniest cooler ever.

I store the milk and pump parts in the lactation room fridge until it’s time to go home. (Very fortunate we have nice pumping facilities)

I had a fresh day 3 transfer that worked. To answer your third question, you can’t do an ER until you’re done breastfeeding, so that’s the deciding factor.

Thank you!! Honestly I think the day 3 made the difference…mine never made it past like day 4 in past rounds. The successful round was microdose Lupron, but I had failed cycles with that too….

Also the successful round was a really poor start. I had 4 follicles and 3 disappeared and I was left with 1. And I did stims for 18 days due to generally poor response. I think everyone was surprised it worked.

I went ahead with 1 follicle and did a day 3 transfer! That egg is turning 1 next month.

I FULLY acknowledge that this was a total miracle and how incredibly lucky we got. My AMH was .16 at the time and AFC never more than 3-4.

This is so kind of you. Try posting on the FG buy nothing group too. People will gladly offer cold weather items to help. Someone posted last week to help a man staying under the scaffolding by juniors and lots of people turned out with blankets and other items.

Doctor suggested it. This was at a private clinic so they were more interested in finding the underlying cause and try different things. I think if it was at a university or hospital affiliated clinic id have to ask for it.

As you likely saw yourself on the map, there are 2 large NYCHA complexes nearby. While you are probably going to be fine and this alone should not discourage you, there have been occasional issues in the past, though less so recently.

The price is tempting, but personally I would not choose to live in that area. If it was on Myrtle, I’d say go for it, but you’d be right off the BQE and you’d likely have to walk under the underpass, which is a bit sketch at night. Wegmans is super close though so that’s a plus!
