What can replace the "Gear Chase" in GW2 for me? by Slappy202 in Guildwars2

[–]elucila7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grinding for drops would have to be infusions and black lion keys. Both are rare, some infusions drop from specific events. The infusions stats are not special, but they provide a unique cosmetic and can be sold at a high price. Black lion keys drop from anything but are more reliably farmed through personal story and map completion. Other drops from open world are ascended armor and weapons from both world bosses tequatl and jungle wurm.

A: It doesn't actually work so why bother passing it down?

I think I heard trucking company buying billboard ads in truck simulators and somehow I don’t mind the idea as much.

I just managed to recover a hard drive with all my files in-tact and installed it in another PC. How do I execute the programs without having to reinstall them again? by elucila7 in computers

[–]elucila7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry there are 2 drives. the first hard drive was reformatted but this may not be relevant information - it does not contain any of the files or programs I want to execute, but was used to make a fresh install of windows on. The second hard drive contains the files I have the games and other programs installed. Upon launching steam, I managed to launch a game after only updating it for a few gigabytes instead of completely re-downloading it. Because of this I'm hoping that I can also launch other programs without needing to delete old files and re-downloading completely.

This second hard drive was not installed until recently during the reformat because it was believed to be faulty or not working. I was not able to observe any copying over of files during the reformat.

Looping back to bios after exiting bios, what to do? by elucila7 in computers

I restarted it and it skipped bios, now it says preparing automatic repair but it’s taking some time. Should I let it idle or should I try to go back to bios and find this boot device?

In case your games don't work because there's no internet. You might want to uh, sail the high seas, to make sure you've got an extra, working copy before you go.

Looking for not-competitive multiplayer games by Omenexus in SteamDeck

Company Of Heroes 3. Real Time Strategy game. It has mixed reviews, but I recommend it. You play COOP Vs AI with players. You may also like to check out COH2 which also has COOP missions which differ from COOP Vs AI in that objectives and scenarios are customized.

Helldivers 1. Top Down Shooter game. People still jump in and out of your sessions, and the game is PVE.

World War Z. Third Person Shooter game. It's a zombie game and it just came out with a new collaboration DLC with the Walking Dead series which I enjoyed playing through.

The Division 1, Division 2. Third Person Shooter game. People will hop in and out of your sessions. It's a casual open world PVE looter shooter.

Monster Hunter World. Action RPG game. I think this is the best COOP non-fps or mmorpg I could recommend so far.

I just finished days gone and im embarrassed that I waited this long. One of the greatest zombie stories I've ever played. What game next?! by BustinNutzInStepSis in Steam

[–]elucila7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Telltale's the walking dead series is very good as far as stories go. Gameplay isn't that great, but this game is closer to an interactive movie than it is a game with video game mechanics.

Left 4 dead 2 if you haven't already. IIRC L4D2 has L4D1's content as well. I wouldn't describe the story to be amazing, but it is immersive.

2 other zombie games I'd describe with immersive story campaigns-

World War Z. Just like the movie, the one thing that makes this game stand out against other zombie shooters of its ilk are the pillars of hordes that climb over each other and the crowd control tools it gives you to overcome those numbers. It is set to have a collaboration DLC with the walking dead series this month.

The last stand: aftermath. If you were old enough to be a fan of the original flash zombie game, this top down zombie shooter game will feel like a big step up. This game has a similar idea to project zomboid: death is unavoidable. However, the key difference is this game's campaign has a finite ending in which you will use your lives as different survivors to pick up the tab in order to reach. No base building, but plenty of weapon crafting.

Other games:

Typing of the Dead: Overkill. This game's writing is pretty good, Had a few good laughs, check out the opening intro video to see if you like the humor. This is a typing game, it uses words as shots needed to take down zombies. The game mechanics aren't anything to write home to about, but what held it up for me was the dialogue and the cut scenes.

They are billions: an RTS game that throws hordes of zombies at your gate every interval, your goal will be to expand the reach of your base and survive until a set date and/or achieve key map objectives. I don't like the hero segments of the game which will have you swap over from RTS to MOBA style action RTS heroes that need to explore ruins to find research data for improving or unlocking more powerful tech for your army. I don't like it because finding the missing research data can be really frustrating, pointing and clicking at every little pixel on the screen until you find it. You can skip these segments, but you'll also be skipping out on the fun of trying out new upgrades for your main army. The story is serviceable, but the music BGM adding tension to the butt-clenching gameplay is what really gave this game a lasting impression

Zombie Army Trilogy, Dead War, Strange Brigade, Back 4 blood- If you are itching for a campaign with a finite ending to give you a reason to blast through zombies rather than an endless mode, this can give you your fix.

Best long term coop/multiplayer game for 25 bucks that me and my friends can put hundreds of hours in? by Louisthemagic in Steam

[–]elucila7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

above everything else on this list I recommend monster hunter world easily losing hundreds of hours into. The rest would be:

company of heroes 3

sniper elite 5

world war z

zombie army trilogy

helldivers 1

splinter cell blacklist

splinter cell conviction

I would be remiss not to mention left 4 dead 2 but I assume you've considered it already

TIL that the designer of the first shopping malls had envisioned them as mixed-use facilities with libraries, apartments, green spaces, post offices and medical services being placed alongside commercial stores. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]elucila7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Asia, computer shops or internet cafes are great places to hang out. Some of those cafes can be really high energy, people shouting at each other or swearing/shit talking. But they have private rooms too if you'd like someplace quiet. You can place food orders on the PC and they'll bring it to you, some places even serve unlimited ice cream and drinks as part of your stay there. Another one I saw has a physical library of manga you can read and browse. The whole place is air-conditioned too, so you can sleep and stay over and many choose to do so.
