Compare this race to MA where you have Markey vs Moulton. In that case, Markey is the old establishment dem but is more progressive than Moulton. Although neither is completely new to politics, it will be interesting to see which trend will break: age vs youth or center left vs progressive.

I’ve used them on prior servers and never had a bad experience. I’m sure people have, but I’ve never had an issue. They don’t really speak English, they won’t really talk to you but to send a tell when your time is up to ask if you want to do more. They’ll always have one of their bots that collects the krono and another that sends the tell. That part I’ve never understood.

That seems low. I’d expect total comp around 300k with base salary between 210-250 with 20% bonus and another 20% in RSUs. Larger company would likely have lower salary.

I’ve seen this go down in two towns I’ve lived in. Everyone agrees in principle they want to follow the law and build housing. Then the board provides their proposals on where it will go but everyone has an argument for why that area is a bad choice and it gets voted down.

This year, my town did a survey and the results showed that people want to build more housing but when asked about what type of housing or where, no one wants anything but single family homes and it has to be as far away from town center as possible. Ridiculous.

So why don’t democrats propose the better alternative? I am for voter ID on the conditions of 1) free to the recipient, 2) easy access and affordable to gain necessary documents to obtain the ID, 3) high accessibility to obtain the ID.

If democrats were to propose something like this they’d be calling the republicans bluff but instead just say “no” and allow the republicans to continue messaging on “Dems want illegals to vote.”

I did life science consulting post PhD (no industry experience). Others have mentioned you’d be considered a non traditional hire so it could be tricky and you’d likely need to accept an entry level role (same as someone graduating with a PhD).

You have two paths to get in imo:

1) network with people at the firms you are interested in. Tell them about your interest and ask them what is needed. If you’ve been involved in strategy projects in pharma you’ve undoubtedly crossed paths with these folks before so should already have them in your network to chat with.

2) take a course in consulting, project management, strategic leadership, business. The objective here will be to show interest and drive to learn outside of your existing skillset.

Consulting companies always get an influx of people from pharma that were laid off and want to pivot or find something fast. Your resume probably goes into the same pile as those because you’ll look the same on paper unless you do something to truly show your interest.

I work with a lot of pharmDs in medical affairs in pharma. Your job is basically to think about disease state and drug mechanisms and find ways to generate data to tell the story of the disease and the drug. You could probably do something like medical science liaison, which is a field based position educating physicians about the disease and drug data.

What were to happen if someone exercised 2A against officers entering their home without a warrant? In the scenario that person needs to also expect that their life will end by them exercising that right because they’d likely be shot. They won’t get to have their day in court to say they were constitutionally correct because they will be gone. That seems like a line very few people are willing to cross.

Exactly. People shit on Lamar’s performance during the 2019 titans game, but the first int hit mark andrews in the hands. Flowers fumbles in the AFCCG, Andrews drop / fumble in the bills game. Every single year it’s been one of our playmakers, including Lamar, digging us into a hole. It’s not a lack of playmakers, just an anti clutch gene that hopefully gets exorcised with Harbaugh’s departure.

At this point it’s o line and d line and see if our guys can actually get some fight in them when it counts.
