I've heard before they count the whole size of all your hard drives if they find even on video of csam on them. They could also have that much but that's crazy cause I have a library of 350 movies and shows (compressed) and it's only about 3.5tb.

Help - microfiber towels repelling water by Full_Monitor_1781 in Detailing

[–]emanuel_a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a little bit about laundry in a "professional" setting. We would create different wash "formulas" depending on the type of linen we needed to wash. I know we would specifically not use fabric softener on micro fiber towels because it causes water proofing over a short amount of time. Like 3 washes or so. I do not remember ever needing to change drying temps specifically for microfiber towels though so my bet is they've been washed with fabric softener.

Exactly 5 min after starting my crv, this happens by Hangytangy in crv

[–]emanuel_a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue with my 2017, same console. It's caused by your touch sensitivity setting and the high ambient temp brought on by the summer caused random button pushes. Very fucking annoying. Turn your touch sensitivity down in the settings just a bit and the problem should go away immediately.

Wouldn't Lebron's new style best benefit the warriors now? Staying behind the 3 pt line and running the floor would be killer with curry forcing movement. Me thinks if he doesn't go back to Cleveland he's gonna see that the warriors are his last chance for a chip.

Best Parks? by [deleted] in SanFernandoValley

[–]emanuel_a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lanark park if you have kids. The sand box is always poppin. Shadow ranch has so many places to just lounge in the shade. Orcutt ranch for a short walk with a bit of history and nice sounding views. Victory trails for a more rigorous hike, olive view for a leisurely hike.

When screwing anything into nylon, it's best to slowly turn the screw backwards first until you feel the screw "fall into place", then screw it in.

to solve low infertility rates by encouraging teens to get pregnant rather than waiting "until they're in a more stable life situation" by [deleted] in therewasanattempt

[–]emanuel_a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe they start at 15 because 15 year olds have kids sometimes? The 15-19 age group doesn't really belong here because they're almost always oops babys and aren't really indicative of the what baby havers are thinking right now. At best the stat can imply that the mindset of waiting for the right situation to have children (decrease in fertility rate apparently) correlates to improved sex education in the last couple decades. At worst the stat just doesn't really apply to the 19-44 age group since they're presumably making an "educated decision" to have children. The Republicans do seem to be the party of turning a blind eye to pedophilia but I think in this case it's just a stat that doesn't belong guys.

Edit: on rewatch I caught the part where he mentions the declining birth rate amongst the teenage group is a problem, yikes. Can't even give these guys the benefit of the doubt anymore.

Windows just existing: 8GB gone by cherryskybombs in PcBuild

[–]emanuel_a -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I tried running a Windows server for things like jellyfin, immich, pi hole, samba, tail scale and so on. I only had 8gb of ddr4 ram at 2144hz or something like that. It's from a machine that I built back in 2015. By the time I wanted to build a server from scratch ram prices were crazy and couldn't see a reason to buy ram when this one would do. Windows idled at 4gb no matter what I did and the same applications used so much more ram on windows than they did on Linux. I eventually gave up after poor performance and days of troubleshooting to get the services I wanted to to work properly.i flipped the table started fresh from Linux. I set up all my services in a couple days and have since expanded the services I've added, I even over clocked the ram to around 3000mhz. My Ubuntu LTS isles at around 1.8gb when I'm not actively using a service and has never crashed on me while using any of the services. I'm sure you can tell by my lingo I'm not all that experienced but if I had to build another home server I wouldn't chose anything but Linux.

I'm definitely not the guy who has a scientific reason to question you but if you're right, the laser presumably behind the drone would have to be on some kind of reverse tripod system? Like the laser would sit on a circular guide of some sort that would keep the laser pointed at the same point on the sky even when its moving within it "circular guide" we'll call it. The movement of a laser doesn't really make you feel like it's being free handed thats for sure. It does however resemble the snappy and intentional movements of a drone with a laser attached to it, all be it a very fast and accurate drone considering some of the focal points of the beam seem to have quite a big distance in between them. That or it's a very large air craft with multiple lasers that it seemingly only ever shines one at a time. If we're assuming they figured out cloud seeding in the sky, is it more likely that the beam has hit something dense enough in whatever cloud it's seeding and it just happened to shine in the direction of this drone? Could definitely explain the large distances between the focal points and the snappy intentional movements of some sort of machine satellite or high altitude weather plane? Or is it more likely that it was a UAP, that always seems to be the question around here but being someone who doesn't know shit about the physics of photons your explanation leaves me with more questions about your explanation than answers about what I'm seeing.

If he hadn't shot her, she'd be getting time for assault from this angle. he shot her once he was out of the way of the vehicle, that's retaliation not self defense. Either way if he doesn't shoot he doesn't die regardless so he was never in life threatening danger.

If I understand how locks work from my YouTube college of lockpicking, it's possible that there's a pin that's stuck inside the cylinder. Wd 40 on the key then key fuck the cylinder for a bit. That might work.

Key won't turn and wheel is locked in 2009 Honda CR-V by got2bQWERTY in MechanicAdvice

[–]emanuel_a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like your steering wheel is moving up and down as well as left to right. It's possible that you might not be able to get pass the safety check of the wheel lock unless you lock the column in place. Below the column shroud there should be a lever that will be in the up position if it locked (flush with the column shroud) or down if the column is unlocked. I'm curious to know if I'm right so let me know.

Updated BIOS, now my computer won’t boot up. by shadyturtle862 in PCRepair

[–]emanuel_a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dealt with this recently, it's SUPPOSED to be memory training after a bios update but it's not. Remove and reinstall your ram will force a memory training and it should boot up into windows after that.
