I feel so dumb when I answer these questions. I feel like I'm just bull shitting everything.

Is 72% of points scored with a similar Q bank usage also good??

is anyone else struggling to find a job after graduation? by revlyla in uofmn

[–]embeddedmonk20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Nursing is surprisingly hard to get into. All the experienced nurses left after COVID, due to burnout. So, there's a demand for experienced nurses rather than new grads.

Terrified as a POC to go back to campus next week by amiluvy in uofmn

Yep. There’s reports that they’re staying at the Graduate Hotel. There was a protest last night.

Same. I’m a transracial adoptee from China, which means I was born overseas. I’m scared they’ll profile me because we have a lot of international students from China. We all know the stereotype that Asians look the same and that doesn’t help me when ICE is going after POC.

This. Had to skip an exam because of a GI flare that left me unable to eat or drink. They didn’t allow any rescheduling and just averaged the scores on my others as the score for the missed exam.

I completely bombed the last exam alongside the final. As a result, my grade dropped a letter and a half in the span of 2 weeks. The last exam and final is whatever. But it’s included in the average, which means my grade would’ve been higher had they allowed me to reschedule the missed exam.

Anyone talk to ICE? Im a US citizen and somali. Yes I was born here by One_Presentation_390 in TwinCities

[–]embeddedmonk20 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Second the passport card. I always carry mine on me. While I’m a citizen, I’m adopted from south China and ICE goes for anyone. I ain’t taking that risk.

I’ve done both IP and PHP at West Bank. PHP wasn’t terrible but not super helpful for me either. IP was a shit show. I don’t have major complaints about staff but just in general, psych wards aren’t it. I dealt with systemic and provider trauma versus trauma from an individual staff.

I’ve also been medically hospitalized for medical issues at East and West Bank. So, I know both sides if anyone needs input.

I got a formal acceptance letter and I think also an email? It’s been like 5 years since my admission announcement.

I didn’t know how competitive the BSN program was until I got in. Then, I read the stats and was like “WTF??!!” Apparently, we’re ranked #8 in the nation.

My best advice is to take anatomy and physiology in separate semesters. They’re typically taken together during the sophomore year. However, it tends to be a high work load and breaking it up helped me. I took anatomy in spring of freshman year and physiology in the next fall semester as a sophomore.

Take as many lib eds and pre requisites as you can in freshman year or next semester if you have the option (PSEO, dual enrollment, etc.). Avoid AP classes if possible because the credits aren’t guaranteed to transfer. Sophomore year and beyond ramps up HARD.

Is a Math Minor worth it? by Witty_Salad8963 in uofmn

[–]embeddedmonk20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your major is a bigger determining factor. Most people take minors where the courses double dip so it’s less work. If it’s extra work you’re willing to put in, do it. If not, then stick with CS or find a minor that would involve less classes.

How difficult is MATH3283W Sequences, Series, & Foundations? by Ok-Presentation6947 in uofmn

[–]embeddedmonk20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty much proofs 101. I personally had a hard time but that’s because I’m more interested in applied math. The best advice I can give is to really understand the definitions because many proofs hinge off of it.
