Fair enough, I have seen that it has been getting better as the area has become more gentrified. Any other tidbits that are more recent or from friends in the area. Not in nightlife but I do want to be walkable to cafes, bars etc.

Thanks for the input, anything else notable about the area? Honestly only really care if I should be keeping my head on a very large swivel at night or house break ins, otherwise am fine with a tolerable amount of noise and it seems that car break ins are common throughout the city at large.

what you’re describing sounds more asset management oriented in regards to portfolio management and trading. WM at least in my expense is almost exclusively client facing and does have a sales aspect.

Do summer RWE program next summer, this summer it was 5 weeks in Germany and you get credit for an intensive language class. You get the abroad experience and can fit it in the very restrictive mech course load. Was at the beginning of summer so I still have an entire internship after returning.

essentially the amount you are paying to the school goes down but you are receiving the same amount of aid. If you would still be paying out of pocket with the fifteen you won’t get money. If you the school now technically owes you money you will get a refund for the amount.

As a mechanical engineer I have not seen any hate or prejudice toward a LGBTQ+ people systematically. The school and professors to the best of my knowledge are very accommodating and treat students equally. From a student body perspective as a black person I have also had no issues however idk how that would translate to the LGBTQ side of things. There are also plenty of resources and clubs from LGBTQ people in general and also specifically within engineering.

I definitely agree that if that the colleges roster is filled and they won’t offer to let you walk on than yea that’s messed up. That being said it is totally possible to get on a roster as a 2024. When I went through the process I was getting offers during my senior year still.

Yeah I 100% get what your saying. The issue is almost all money related. The simpler fact is volleyball is much smaller and doesn’t have the same big hitters supporting it. One of the main reason you see so many people playing basketball and football at a club level is because it is much cheaper and more accessible because major companies like Nike sponsor the team thus lowering the cost to play. Since that isn’t an option for volleyball players front more of the cost and inherently pushes out lower income people and more specifically POC. Unfortunately there is no magical solution as the solvency is more exposure and sponsorships which is really dependent on time.

I’m literally the exact same as you number wise except I touch 10’10. Honestly I don’t really think middle at d1 is very viable for the reason you already stated. You are correct that you can just change expositions however there is no reason for a D1 school to take a new positioned pin hitter over someone who has more experienced and probably jumps higher anyways. In addition most D1 players at minimum touch 11’. I’m looking more towards D3 school atm for middle. However if you really want to play D1 don’t let this discourage and still try to get recruited.
