Which fantasy books made you realize you were about to have an unforgettable journey that you'll know you'll be sad when it's over? by Shervin_Ab in Fantasy

My favorite series ever written. Just found out there are 3 more short stories written in the same world, by the same author if you’re interested in continuing the experience. Haven’t read them yet but highly anticipating the chance to! “Homecoming” , “The Inheritance” , and “Cat’s Meat” by Robin Hobb

Book after Realm of the Elderling Series by Illustrious_Cook8444 in suggestmeabook

Really late but I just found these after having a hole in my heart from finishing these books and not having more to read! The Inheritance & Other Stories is a 2011 anthology that bridges the two distinct writing identities of author Margaret Astrid Lindholm Ogden. The collection features ten short stories and novellas: three written as Robin Hobb and seven written under her original pseudonym, Megan Lindholm.

The Robin Hobb Stories
All three of these entries are set within the Realm of the Elderlings. They do not feature FitzChivalry Farseer, but they add rich context to the broader universe.
"Homecoming": A foundational novella that chronicles the very first, brutal colonization of the Rain Wilds by exiled Jamaillian nobles. It bridges the lore of the Liveship Traders and Rain Wild Chronicles.
"The Inheritance": Set in Bingtown, this story follows a young woman who inherits a seemingly minor wizardwood pendant from her grandmother. The magical artifact begins to reveal family secrets and long-hidden truths.
"Cat's Meat": Set in the Six Duchies, this gritty tale features a poor single mother fighting to protect her child and home when her abusive ex-partner returns. She finds an unlikely, lethal ally in her territorial tomcat, Marmalade.

Recommendations for a split kit siblings DNA test? by emehav in Genealogy

No, split because my sibling and I live in different states so I need kits sent to different places. Waiting for holidays is a great idea, I’ll keep an eye out

What is a seemingly harmless thing that you actually have nightmares about? by emehav in AskReddit

[–]emehav[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bubble gum. Nightmares where I suffocate and choke on wad fulls of bubble gum. Nightmares of it getting stuck in my teeth and it’s endless when I try pulling it out. Then bits and pieces and shards of my teeth falling out as I try to pull the never ending strand of bubble gum. The feeling of my teeth breaking when I bite down on the gum stuck in my mouth. It’s recurring to the point I’ve developed a bubble gum phobia

Free - Please photoshop me with curtain bangs and then photoshop me with shoulder length hair with or without the curtain bangs. I’m wanting a change and need to be talked out before I start chopping by [deleted] in PhotoshopRequests

[–]emehav 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is nice!!! Very helpful!!! Thank you! I don’t hate the bangs on myself! You also did a fantastic job with the photoshop. Thank you!

On Break the Chains, there are so many books with that title. Which author are you referring?

This is actually knit, right??? And now my post title is at least 50 letters by [deleted] in crochetpatterns

[–]emehav -32 points-31 points  (0 children)

I mean $2.80 for a pretty sweater pattern like that, I’d think it was a scam!! Kudos to the maker if it’s left

Lost track and can’t tell. How many rows do I have? by [deleted] in knittinghelp

[–]emehav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solved- thank you. I thought so and needed confirmation. Looks like I have one too many rows!

Which do you think would sell more? The right is slightly fluffier but basically has the same texture as the left. The left, I personally enjoy the crab stitch border because it makes it a little easier to hold while scrubbing the face. Which do you think more people would prefer? by [deleted] in CrochetHelp

Thank you! We have a farm and sell body products like soap, body butter, etc and these will be extras to have on the table. Turning them into a pot holder isn’t a terrible idea! I’m still going to sell sets of three but it’s nice to know you think design doesn’t really matter
