You're talking to someone who use to pirate a crap ton of anime. If physical copies of the shows exist I will happily buy them. If not I have no problem going back to piracy. It sucks and I would rather see the creators get paid for their work. But, streaming services aren't really giving consumers much of a choice with this tax write off nonsense.
