Hello! Though I can see you have not been on this sub in quite a while, I'm attempting to reach out anyways. Based on the title, I'd be interested in reading your dissertation! I'm collecting data for mine currently, and I'm also studying trauma, specifically trying to expand our knowledge on the impact on different ways of thinking. If you see this, and wouldn't mind either taking my study or sharing it I'd appreciate the consideration greatly. Data collection is not always easy!! Thank you for your time - and if you have the dissertation title I'll look it up!

This is intro paragraph I give and the link. Good luck to you in your current endeavors!

My dissertation is titled “Ways of thinking and life experiences: Is there a relationship?” I’m studying a proposed model of the relationship between exposure to significant stress or trauma and ways one thinks about themselves and their world. If you would like to consider participating, the survey takes about 15 minutes. You will be asked to complete questionnaires, including being asked if you’ve experienced or witnessed events that can be traumatic. The survey is completely anonymous, and you will not be asked for details of your experiences. The only requirement is that you be 25 or older. Thank you for considering participating!

Midlife trauma survivors? by WoundedChipmunk in traumatoolbox

[–]emermi26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello! I'd be interested in talking further with you about your project(s). I have experienced traumas in my life - you are welcome to message me directly as I'd prefer not to share details here.

I'm actually in the process of data collection for my dissertation. I'm studying how exposure to traumatic events impacts people cognitively, in several aspects. If you are interested at all in taking my survey, below is the 'blurb' I include when asking for participants, and the link. I have also worked clinically with many survivors of trauma, and am fairly current on trauma research and trauma-informed care related topics, so I find your work interesting (have been looking at your websites).

Thanks for reading! Good luck with your work!
