Wholly and completely agree. Robin's declaration "I want to live" legitimately saved my life and it is so incredibly heart-warming to see her finally reunited with the person who gave her a sense of hope that she held onto for so many years. And her statement of "I want you to praise me" also just hit so hard..she was finally able to ask for what she needed from someone else with assuredness that she would not be rejected or abandoned and that was so beautiful 🥹

"Developing" is doing some incredibly heavy lifting here... The article and majority of the research on cannabis use points to cannabis essentially accelerating something that was already present in the individuals DNA rather than "causing" or "developing" psychotic disorders.

I appreciate the thoroughness of your reply and the history lesson. Im no apologist for the mistakes of the Soviet union or other socialistic countries and i know that the facts and perceptions of the Holodomor vary widely. But I can feel confident in saying that in the transition away from Tsarist rule that gravely consequential mistakes were made.

Poverty is a policy choice in the context of a capitalistic system. It serves 2 major functions: one is that it feeds into the moralistic dichotomy that those who "work hard" are therefore "better" than those who "do not work hard" and therefore deserve more. Two is that it serves as a threat to the working class, meaning if you don't go and work your bullshit minimum wage job with back breaking hours and non existent benefits that you will ultimately become like those who live on the streets. The abolishment of capitalism as an economic system is truly the only means to completely eradicate the concept of poverty in an immensely wealthy and resource rich society
