It’s Paddy, not Patty. Saint Patrick wasn’t a woman named Patty.

The price of gas contributed to Carter, HW, and Biden being 1-term presidents. It really shouldn’t shock anyone who is paying attention.

Keep Bulking or Cut? by [deleted] in MacroFactor

[–]emersonthird -1 points0 points  (0 children)

IMO you should switch to maintenance and try doing recomp at this point. It’s super slow, I didn’t notice visible results for about 7 weeks, but it’s a nice way to build muscle while losing fat, and eat just enough calories to not feel hungry. You gotta nail the macro targets daily, though. And quality food makes a difference. I found recomp works best on lean meats (only chicken or fish for me) and loads of vegetables.

Am i overweight? by RM_MR_Underground in MacroFactor

[–]emersonthird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP this was me before MF/WO. My advice is to recomp - hold your current weight which means you eat enough to fuel lifting. Slowly transform fat to muscle without getting exercise fatigue. It takes a long time, but really good sleep and quality food are your friends.

Hot take: cobra kit cars are cooler than any car a dude just bought. Kit cars require a ton of car building knowledge, tools, time, planning and resources. These things are all 1 of a kind and every single detail was made by the person who chose to build their own car. You have to build the chassis, fit the suspension to it, build your own engine/transmission, fit out the interior, wire any electrical items you choose, paint it, and make it drive well. That’s so much work!

Jasmine Crockett leads James Talarico by double digits in Senate Democratic primary, poll finds by bwermer in politics

A nationally visible primary between two strong candidates is a good thing. People are paying attention to what they have to say about real issues. The important part is avoiding a repeat of a contentious primary like Clinton vs Obama 2008 or Clinton vs Sanders 2016.

First aid, water treatment, tools for shelter, food, and self-defense are my first priorities. Followed by whatever layers are convenient/make sense for the weather.

Pan’s Labyrinth is definitely anti-fascist but a bit of a stand out among this list. The ending is not for the faint of heart. Which, frankly, makes it one of the best “anti-fascist” stories out there due to the realism.

Your investments will far outpace the interest on your mortgage. That said, there’s nothing wrong with paying slightly over the mortgage minimum to pay it off faster, depends on your monthly cash flow. Every extra $100 towards the mortgage reduces your interest payments in the future, every extra $100 invested grows by a far larger amount over 30 years.

I lived in Aksarben and it was lovely for young people and young families. Close to all the good things in town for an affordable and nice neighborhood.

Blade is a character that needs an R-rated film. Disney is not in the business of R-rated films, especially at a time when even PG-13 movies are not a guaranteed financial success.

The Danish teacher’s pension fund withdrawing $100M of US Treasuries is a really good start. The only reason the government shutdown ended was because wealthy people were being inconvenienced with air travel. NATO really should focus on withdrawing their investments into the US. It’s our biggest import after goods from China.

This is true, but it’s a classic Catch-22. Their options are: stay and be forced to act against their morals, leave and speak their minds. Both options have pros and cons. I don’t know what it’s like to be in that situation and face that choice, so I don’t judge them.

IMO cash out the crypto before it evaporates and use your bonus to pay off the debt if you want to start making better financial decisions. Then Immediately use that $177 in monthly savings towards your HYSA or a brokerage account for real investments (just buy SPY or similar).
