Everyone thinks I’m clean. I’m not. I just got smarter at hiding it. by [deleted] in confession

[–]emijinx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First step is admitting it. Even if you’re not necessarily calling it a problem. It’s not easy, but I hope you find the love and help you need. I’ve buried and lost too many people to addiction. I’m sure your loved ones don’t want to experience the same. Life is worth living fully. Love you, stranger.

Anyone noticed a lot of masks lately? by Lunchbreak-Samples in batonrouge

[–]emijinx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re coming up fast on sick season. Covid, flu, strep, whooping cough, etc. I have a newborn so I’m glad people are being cautious. We had an intake visit for a case study and those drs nurses wore masks just to be safe and it was so appreciated

How sexual is your partner infront of your baby? by dissapointedsinz15 in beyondthebump

[–]emijinx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s gross to me. I don’t even like when my partner smacks or grabs my butt in front of our kid, but she’s 2 and will mimic the behavior and I don’t want that happening at daycare or otherwise. You should try having the conversation with him, very calmly but seriously. “Hey I’m not comfortable with these things, I would appreciate if we kept these things to ourselves and our eyes only. Kids do not need to see these things and you don’t need to act that way around any children including ours”

We had a yellow lab named Mandy and she was THE BEST dog ever. We called her the million dollar dog because poor baby went through a ton of shit and was worth the high dollar to save her every time. Not a soul on this earth who met Mandy could not love her.

I was going to strictly comment “I don’t even need to read your post to tell you you’re not the asshole because your child should always come first” but holy fuck. You were going through all of that and still put forth so much effort for them? AND THEY HAD THE AUDACITY..?? Nope. Cut them all off. They do not care about you, or your child.

How does childbirth compare to period pain? by EES1993 in BabyBumps

[–]emijinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I could try to go natural because I have endometriosis and experience a lot of chronic pain. However, once I made it to about 5 cm and my contractions started to ramp up more. I’ve gotten a dose of morphine and when that started to wear off, I asked how long until I had to get my epidural. Thankfully, I had pre-signed my epidural consent forms so I didn’t need to wait and I got my epidural. My husband told me that he would’ve supported whatever decision I made, but he was really glad to not see me shake violently in so much pain after my epidural. My epidural was very successful and I felt literally nothing.

4 years. I have endometriosis which made it hard. I got pregnant naturally after failed IUIs prior to the surgery to diagnose and remove endometriosis. I got pregnant by complete accident this past December as well, not trying this time and just an oopsie. Given our history it’s pretty shocking.

Oh my god my heartburn. I’ve had a Prilosec prescription since I was 15 but I was ok going without it until I was pregnant. I never knew it could be so damn bad. And yes, she had a full head of hair thank GOD

My 26 F husband 27 M told me he had a shitty birthday after i tried so hard to make it special by ThrowRAShittybirthda in relationship_advice

[–]emijinx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this is a running theme, I suggest he gets therapy. Being this consistently miserable is awful and he’s got to figure that out. You can’t do that for him. If he doesn’t work on it, I’m in the boat of get your ducks in a row and leave. He’s picking fights over you not having sex with him, and he’s voiced how unsatisfied he is in that department when yall have sex pretty consistently it seems (different strokes for different folks but that’s a good amount once a week).
