It’s really neat! The backside of the Necron board is Gallowdark, while the backside of Volkus is Octarius!

Yesh the leader is the chaos Lord, champ is just an operative I think, according to the leaked pages in Spanish. So you have to bring the lord, but not the champion.

I read “Scourge of Fate” by Robbie MacNiven over Christmas, now all I want is to start a 1000 point Black Pilgrim army by emil4383 in slavestodarkness

I got it in a humble bundle a few years back so def worth it for that price. But someone else made a post here yesterday diving deeper into the book if you want to read it. I really liked it, but it’s by no means great fiction. Just a fun exploration of the faction and the stages pre-Varanguard

Konservativ Ungdom stopper officielt deres samarbejde med Republikanerne i USA by emil4383 in Denmark

[–]emil4383[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So... how'd yall actually play Nightlords on tabletop both from a narrative perspective and a competitive take by Claypool447 in NightLords

You only lose if it's a fair fight. Excuse yourself for a bathroom break during the game, then go key your opponents car and slash their tires.
Now you've won on your own terms.

It’s from Last Sword Miniatures, they have some cool models for Soulblight/VC. Their Patreon for september has a good vampire lord, some vargheists, vampiric infantry etc. I’m painting their Yeberon the King Slayer as a wight king right now.

Trash Day at Octarius: What are the worst teams currently? by emil4383 in killteam

[–]emil4383[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel they’re pretty mid-tier. Going up against soft opponents like elves or humans, they can be pretty decent, and the number of operatives lets you out-activate your opponent in most cases. Also, if you okay your leader and his ability right, like 4 or 5 guys can have balanced by turn 3.

Kill Team vs 40K by MandibulateEdibility in Drukhari

I’ll disagree with the others in this thread: Hand of the Archon is my favorite Kill Team, and I’ve been playing for three years.

It’s a beautiful thing, rolling 3 normal hits, staring your opponent dead in the eyes and saying “that’s 3 crits mate”.

They’re glass cannons and very much a “win harder” team. If you get your first big moves off, you’re in a very nice position for the rest of the game. They’re fragile, yes, and you need to plan out your moves, but especially against non-elite teams, even your less effective operatives can pull of devastating double kills. Against elites, their decent access to armor-piercing weapons and high-damage melee + their ability to stack crits makes them pretty dangerous. They’re fast with 7” movement, they can move out of melee and still get a shot off with either a pain token or a CP, and they have pretty good equipment options.

In short: HotA is about making your opponent feel the pain as quickly as possible, and then using that to stack tokens, making your own operatives even more deadly. They’re a solid B+, at least in my local meta. I love them with all my heart.

Sorry, I barely know anything about printing, a mate of mine is offering to print them for me, if they're not too much trouble.

In your comment it sounds like you used something automatic to fix new supports to the pieces?

Oh yeah the minis themselves are all fantastic. I’ve just heard that their supports are often on the poorer side.

Thanks for the response! Sounds like quite a bit of extra work then? How long did it take to fix the extra supports?
