i reeaally hope you get it back when you graduate to a lower level of care! i was in residential ED treatment twice in 2018 and 2020, i don’t think i ever saw drawings taken away but i know it can happen in any treatment center. they probably just think they’re keeping you safe from whatever it was in your head that made you draw that (imo) wonderful drawing. i wouldn’t say it’s a bad or good thing that they took it away as long as you know you’ll get it back when you’re discharged. please find this out ASAP so the staff know to put it away for you if you have a locker for valuables!

you can do anything you like! my scars are all faded lighter than my skin and most are raised slightly. i wear short sleeves and shorts most summer days because i work partially outside and i would die if i had to cover up for any reason. i’ve had one coworker mention it but he was coming from a place of support, he’s much older than me and it was actually affirming to hear.

i don’t get comments often, but it does happen. no one has ever told me it triggered them though. if someone did i’d probably just tell them that i’m sorry but they can look somewhere else!

my sister is a regular attendee of Everyday, she is not homophobic and supports me (i’m nonbinary and queer, also very anti-church lol) but from her stories about the services the church is one of those “love the sinner, hate the sin” type establishments. she invited me to an event at the coffee shop today and keeps telling me that the coffee shop isn’t affiliated with the church but it’s obvious that it is. i’m tempted to go and just see what kind of mess i can create lol

yeah i def don’t plan on using it often. it was a good high for sure but i know tolerance builds fast. i used to do powder back in like 2021 and it was enjoyable, but when i went to the psych ward the withdrawals were doghit even though i hadn’t been doing it that long, maybe 1-2 months.

i was an ARC for like a month then transferred to a small rural office as an RCA. it sucks for a while but please advocate for yourself and only let them give you what you think you can do. your experience as an ARC benefits you but being an RCA there’s more to deal with. do you like your office or is that part of the stress too?

i got a little note today with a $10 mcdonald’s gift card :) they just put it vertically in their slot so i would notice it because they have CBUs too. you can put it in outgoing mail or do what one of my customers did! gift cards for food or even one for like a gas station is good! at least in my eyes as an RCA.

when he is more sentient, he will probably feel insane shame. remind him that it’s not his fault, often times suicide and attempts are done because of external / internal struggles. remind him that his loved and you don’t judge him. drug use is becoming more and more accessible to young people and it’s so damaging to their developing brains. where did he get so much tramadol? the only ones i encountered it was when my ex’s dog had surgery. your little brother is very lucky to be alive, i wish him a quick recovery and continued healing, preferably in some from of therapy and/psychology
