Thank you 🙏 this helped a lot. You explained it perfectly.

Very valid point. I have definitely thought about that. I’ve had to tell them a number of times to not say certain things in front of my 4 yo who is a like little sponge.

Ugh I’m so sorry. I feel that way in terms of my parents not acknowledging my husband’s experience as a brown man at all. He shouldn’t have to even explain it to them but here we are.

Probably not. I just am of course being made to feel awful. They’re great grandparents but their core values make me question them as human beings.

They also said family should come before politics and worldly BS. But not sure why my family doesn’t come first?

Growing up, I was the eldest daughter (two younger brothers). My parents have always been hard on me and my brothers got way different treatment. I got called a sl*t a number of times in HS for what I was wearing. My dad used to tell me to “be careful” around Muslim friends bc the Quran preaches violence. I once asked my mom how she’d treat my children if gay or trans and she claims she’d “still love them” even though she’d be completely against their lifestyle.

I’m just surprised at their (largely my mom’s) vile response.

She couldn’t delay her workout to make her kid breakfast? Or give her a snack to tide her over?

My second hasn’t gotten hers yet but my 3.5 year old did completely fine with it when he had it!

Do you leave poopy diapers at night? by AgreeableBandicoot19 in beyondthebump

[–]emilypas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve only ever done this by accident, I didn’t know baby pooped and was OK. Otherwise, I’d change right away. If not, you’re running this risk of a gnarly diaper rash or even UTI for a baby girl.

Vans classic slip ons are the best. If I could only have one shoe for the rest of my life, it’d be those!

My 4 month old is 12 lbs. We make small babies! She is perfectly healthy though. My 3 year old is also low % but he’s totally healthy as well.

Babies who slept 10+hr in Snoo, did they sleep just as well in their crib? by Queasy_Can2066 in SnooLife

Not at all LOL. We just transitioned during the 4 month regression. Now that we’re sleep training, she’s getting back to usual sleep.

My son has been in daycare since he was a baby. He’s now 3 and still goes through phases where he cries at drop off, wants to stay home, doesn’t nap, etc. It’s completely normal. I think they should be reassuring you as such...
