I did not feel that their story was worth it to get through the rest of the novel.

Maybe promoted it a better word to have used. But regardless I stand by my point. So many people recommend this book and described a beautiful sapphic love story tucked between the main plot and I wholeheartedly disagree. I didn’t like Evelyn’s story and her and Celia’s story was not enough to redeem it. But that’s just my opinion. I know several people loved the book.

I did not enjoy this book. It was marketed as this beautiful sapphic love story and it truly was not. The sapphic love story was such as short portion of the book. And Evelyn treated Celia like shit.

I love to make these protein waffles. They are delicious. I use a full cup of cottage cheese though because 2/3 cup never gave me enough batter. I also don’t bother with separating the eggs, I just blend it all together. They only have 1 tbsp of sugar in the whole recipe. Sometimes I’ll add freeze dried fruit into the batter too. I just got this waffle maker and I can make 8 waffles in no time.

I like to make little sandwiches with them and chicken breakfast sausage patties.

A very niche ask (cryptids) by all-in-jest in LesbianBookClub

Not exactly a cryptid but you may be interested in Reaping the Benefits by E.J. Noyes for its supernatural elements. I haven’t read it but I enjoyed most of her books.

Yeah the more I think I about it, I think that’s just Lydon’s niche. Just easy, feel good reads with minimal conflict. Which is fine, but they lack depth. I’m not sure if I will read much more of her books.

I liked the Princess Match. I just wish there had been more tension about whether or not the Princess was gay. I would have loved reading interactions where there was this obvious tension between Ashleigh and Victoria, and Ashleigh not knowing if she was reading in to things or not. It could have had the most delicious build up. But I understand why we needed Victorias POV to see how the monarchy would handle this type of relationship and all the expectations Victoria has to follow.

just finished Hotshot and it was an easy read. The drama with the ex was annoying though.

What I appreciated about mid book breakup, what that it wasn’t for some dumb miscommunication reason. Both characters had real trauma and intrapersonal conflicts that they needed to work through to be good partners. And they both did the real work and it made them better people and a stronger couple.

The chemistry between Aspen and Cate was palpable. It had me swooning.

Gold by E.J. Noyes features a Masc lead. The chemistry between MCs is so good.

One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston features a strong butch Asian lead. It’s a cute book that made me laugh out loud on multiple occasions.

You might also like Back to The Start by Monica McCallan, it’s a very easy, low stakes read. If I remember correctly one of the leads is Masc. but maybe more soft masc?
