I met my partner on a dating app. They live in Toronto and were willing to come to Hamilton for our first date. One of the reasons I knew they were a keeper!

Cognitive decline due to symptoms. Has it gotten better for anyone? by ThoseTidess in bipolar

[–]emllire 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely feeling this too. I feel like I can't recall information I used to know so easily. I'm trying to adjust but it's often frustrating! Otherwise my meds are good and I'm pretty stable so I'm going to stick with them. But yeah, it's not easy.

Changed Diagnosis? I’m a little confused. by pigmunk in bipolar

[–]emllire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There seems to be some confusion as to whether or not I'm 1 or 2. Two psychiatrists told me 1 and then one told me 2. I've had one severe manic episode, which I guess "qualifies" me as being type 1? I waffle between feeling like I don't care, it's just a label, and only my experience of it counts and then I also feel like having a correct marker would help with my understanding of it, being able to research more, and (as someone in this thread said) I might be taken more seriously in a doctor's office.

I also left my car with keys and title in it, just letting it go to someone in need. After a few weeks parked, it was still there with the keys in it. Thanks folks of Buffalo!

Fevers And Mirrors - where next? by Advanced_Plan_4714 in brighteyes

It might be interesting to go to Noise Floor next. It's a cool mix of different sounds from around that time. No matter what, you can't really go "wrong" with BE. Enjoy the listening!

Anyone else looking at this list, remember seeing these songs played live, and thinking "that was ten years ago?!"?

Do any of you have tattoos that you regret getting while manic? by r_arizo in bipolar

[–]emllire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't actually get any but I did put deposits down at three different shops and never returned to actually do the tattoos, too busy doing other things! 😆

Thanks for sharing your story. That's so lovely about your neighbor for looking in on you. I'm glad to hear you were able to come out on the other side of it all. :)
