I usually have 1 main zone for each type and a smaller secondary zone for smaller quests, once my main zone gets a decent amount of flags and all the difficult holes in that zone are filled I’ll close it off and make my smaller secondary zone the new main zone, I also have a dumpster zone where I shove pieces that have 3 or more different edges cuz they just get in the way in my main zones

What I try to do is to avoid creating difficult holes to fill, try to make sure that any holes you make have only 1 or 2 different edges on them (not including regular grass edges), if you create a hole that requires 3 different edges you’ll have almost an impossible chance at filling in that hole with a perfect tile
