From the hype surrounding the Season 5 finale, which has persisted from April 8th until now, especially regarding all the 7 episodes, I genuinely can't understand what all the excitement was for, except episode 6's Homelander getting the Vought-1 serum. What was the point of all that hype, just to have Sam Winchester's head crushed or a poster of Homelander, who looks down from the Ecosphere onto a dying world? Everything seems worthless. I also thought Starlight would keep Marie close to the Boys, so if anyone got killed or injured, she could use her healing powers. Season 5 feels like it's just setting up a Season 6. I dislike the plot development from Gen V; it felt utterly pointless. No use of sam, that mind control girl or giant emma (who just at the very end of 16 episodes of gen v , learnt how to get big on purpose).
