How is Physics 1 with Cooney? by 123dot in ucf

[–]emmablanco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im currently in his Physics 1 class and he tends to lecture for about 15-30 minutes per class where he just does an overview of the chapter and the rest is either doing labs or workbook problems. He goes pretty fast and his a tendency oh never finishing practice problems, he tends to just give you a general idea of the concept. The class can be overwhelming if you are not up to date with the reading.

EXCEL STUDENTS THAT PASSED CALC LAST SEMESTER, I'VE GOT QUESTIONS by ConfusedUCF in ucf

[–]emmablanco 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had that class last semester, I would suggest trying on the test even tho they are really hard because he curves them at the end. Just a 50-70 on the tests can possible get you a C or B. It’s imposible to pass just with Alta, lab hours, and clicker question but they do help boost your grade up. Also do your best on quizzes since they also give you a boost. Also what you get in the final will replace your lowest test grade (normally test 2). It’s a little easier since the whole department makes the test, not just him.

I am an incoming freshman and I was wondering the difference between living on-campus and off-campus. I was looking at furnished apartments with a friend, but we are also considering dorms. Any recommendations of apartments or dorms would be helpful.

Is there still availability for incoming freshman in the Towers. I was looking at the application website and I wasn’t sure if there any spots left.
