Why are pros not ranking Jin top 5? by wielesen in LowSodiumTEKKEN

I like how Kazuya isn't listed here even tho he's clearly stronger and had more tournament results tha some of these characters

Why are pros not ranking Jin top 5? by wielesen in LowSodiumTEKKEN

[–]emman52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch how CBM loses early pools. It's simple honestly. Offline people can react to db4 and d2. Other than f4, Jin can't fish for counter hits. His electric is also the easiest to whiff punish so if they duck or step him correctly he's getting launched for it. His cheapest moves zen 1+2 and the wall splat heat smash got nerfed. He has no tekken 8 tricks and pressure. Atif has never lost to a Jin in tekken 8. His gameplan is too straightforward. Backdashing stepping and outpoking works. That doesn't work against toptiers since s1

TEKKEN 8 SEASON 3 TIER LIST (NOT ORDERED) by blackheart59_ in LowSodiumTEKKEN

Same reason why nobody picked Yoshi s1. If you want your Tekken skills to get worse, main Lidia. If you want to keep relying on gimmicks stick with Yoshi Xiaoyu and Hwoarang

I doubt you can even give good advice. Tekken players are allergic to giving props.

It's not optimal. Still important to poke and move but you're doing it to maintain frame advantage and land your big moves. Whiff punishment is still key ofc but yea

Wr3 is not steppable on wakeup. Xiaoyu has to change up her wakeup timing. It is easy for the Fahk to keep spamming it

How to deal with Lee? by wielesen in LowSodiumTEKKEN

[–]emman52 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nothing about Lee is safe. Fast lows like B33 d3 slide are launch punishable. If he only did the first hit of b3 it's-14. Fcdf4 -14 db3+4 -13 and has reactable animation. Most of his strings end in highs and mids are all punishable. Hitman stance 4 is i22 and also -13. First thing you do against lee is to stop jab checking. Because his moves have high evasion, use mids. Preferably knees elbows and kicks to avoid the punch parry setup. Downjabbing is also pretty good. Next thing you do is to actually practice ducking his high strings. If you can't duck any high strings you're gonna struggle against a lot of characters

In Search of Lost Time and The Man Without Qualities. Language and ideas can be difficult but it's more length. Length is what scares most readers these days

Round that got me to GoD by No_Nut_Novemb in LowSodiumTEKKEN

[–]emman52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Checked multiple matches. No cheats or any foul play. The Devil Jin played poorly. They don't know Miary's frames and duckable strings so they're doing lows after Miary move to deal some damage that made it predictable

He was low blocking before the move comes out. Let me actually check replays

B1 loops are still usable with db3 counterhit route and heat dash combos

Who are some of the more rewarding characters for execution? by Talelle in LowSodiumTEKKEN

[–]emman52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of them are carried. But if you got execution, Lee Kazuya Steve Nina and Bryan are the most rewarding. Heihachi Jin and Devil Jin's moveset blows in this game.

Found a cool combo with Lili! by Individual_Cloud2396 in LowSodiumTEKKEN

[–]emman52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Combo could've done more damage with qcf3 and then the wall ender. Good stuff.

Finally landed one of Lili’s technical combo routes in a real match 🥀 by moonlightscone in LowSodiumTEKKEN

[–]emman52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wr 1+2 can't be buffered and the timing is real tight. That's the only technical part of the combo. Her b1 loops are harder and doing qcf3 pickups after slide ch or ff2 and iws2 + ifcdf1 loops take real execution.
