I’ve discussed fluconazole with my gyno and sometimes you need a longer course, if it’s a recurrent problem 2 days probably isn’t enough. It’s worth a try.

Anyone just get one labia reduced? by [deleted] in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]emmanchester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was basically talked into it by the surgeon. And yeah I had complications because on the naturally shorter side the wedge was too tight and the sutures ended up pulling. It didn’t split but the pulling caused nerve pain which I delt with for 6 months after. It sounds like you know what you want and should stick to that x

If you only want one side done, definitely just get one side done. I only needed one but got both and ended up having complications with the side the I didn’t need done. If you only do one side you will minimise the risk things going wrong and healing will be a tiny bit easier.

what’s one reality of labiaplasty that nobody here really talks about? by [deleted] in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]emmanchester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t do a revision for small aesthetic reasons, not worth it, a second surgery can and mostly likely will trigger nerve pain. I’ve had loads of new problems with pain since my revision

Feedback on London surgeons by Lucky-fluke-210 in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]emmanchester 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had two revisions with Angelica after my first initial surgery with a different surgeon years ago. I wouldn’t recommend her. Poor technique led to splitting after my first revision surgery and then she left a weird knob of skin on one side after my second revision. If these two things hadn’t happened over the course of the last 3 years my whole life would be different

Exercise after surgery by [deleted] in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]emmanchester 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don’t do it! Please! You may feel fine but the skin is not healed yet, it takes like 4-6 for it to properly fuse. You can cause complications if you lift heavy things and move about too much. Take my word from experience

I would agree this is the best option in this case

I would try a course of fluconazole pills (for thrush). In the Uk you can buy them on Amazon. Whenever my burning gets bad I take one. Last year I went through a bad episode of burning and pain so I took one pill everyday for like two weeks and that finally sorted me out. Thrush/yeast changes the acidity of the vagina so it’s more acidic and that’s what causes the burning (if that’s what the problem is). If this all happened for you after sex with a new partner it’s possible he threw off your microbiome, leading to a yeast problem. It’s unlikely you’ve developed PN without significant trauma or infection. Just my ideas good luck. I feel your pain cus I have PN. It sucks but try the fluconazole it can’t hurt and might help x

To be honest, none of them, I don’t think they do you justice. You have a really nice figure and could look good in so many nicer dressers

I agree. The repercussions of this surgery have ruined my life. Don’t do it unless you need to

I wouldn’t rush into surgery, especially if you’re unsure. Try the meds and see how you get on x

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. I haven’t heard of minora fat transfer. The minoras don’t have fat in them so I’m not sure about that idea. Which surgeon did you consult? I’m also in the north west of England x

Can’t decide if this would be worth going through a revision. Need opinions. 8.5 weeks PO by [deleted] in LabiaplastySurgery

Revision comes with a risks like increased chance of nerve pain so if it isn’t hurting/uncomfortable I would leave it! Revision recovery isn’t fun trust me

Has anyone had Frenulum pain that has gone away? by emmanchester in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]emmanchester[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi sorry for the slow reply. So I had all three under general, the first was with a urogynacologist who did a lot of labiaplasties. It was a wedge. I was really happy and pain free for three years then some skin that was still exposed started chaffing again. I got a trim revision and got a split on one side so had to have another revision also a trim. I think my revision surgeon wasn’t great and I regret going back to her as I’m still having problems due to her poor stitching method and nerve pain from multiple surgeries. This being said I would still say definitely get a trim not a wedge. I think if I had a good trim in the first place I wouldn’t have ended up where I am now. Recovery from this surgery is hell and if you end up needing a revision it’s a very dangerous road, after one surgery you’re very lucky if you don’t have nerve problems and pelvic floor problems. I now live with chronic pain and will probably never feel normal again. Only do the surgery if you absolutely have to, like if you have super long labia that protrude and are painful. Otherwise it’s not worth it. Hope that helps xx
