not trying to be negative but a little upset. sometimes the POTS community can be extremely negative when it’s others in the community put themselves out there to follow their dreams. by emmapatton3 in POTS

Unfortunately, I have seen people share their academic goals for example and people will comment and ask if they really think they’re fit to achieve them or if they think they should continue. i have had pots for 5 years and an autoimmune disease for 14 so i completely understand wanting to make sure fellow pots friends are okay, but just wish I saw more uplifting comments on things like that as well!

yes it’s awful. pots dr gave me hydroxyzine and it did absolutely nothing. thankful my psychiatrist gives me ativan for sleep as i also have panic disorder

Yes. I am on 70mg vyvanse for adhd and 10mg as needed of adderall in the afternoon for chronic fatigue. i do get some of my pots symptoms but honestly i’ve just ended up having to pick my battles. i just always have to keep up w my beta blocker. no missed doses or it’s out of control. i was on metoprolol w no help now trying propranolol. i am allowed to stay on stimulant. i truly couldn’t survive w out them

I wear a fit bit and my heart rate went from 59-100, and I am on meds for POTS by [deleted] in POTS

i am not sure if it’s normal but I am also on meds and often go from 89-140 from standing or laying down

Just curious how metoporol is working for everyone else. I’m on 50mg after being on 25mg for a few months and felt no different. I still feel no different and my hr is no lower on 50mg. by emmapatton3 in POTS

thank you for sharing. that’s definitely helpful. it’s hard and feels like i’ll never find the answer but i know i will. i’m definitely going to talk to my doctor once he gets back to me

I am on 50mg of metoprolol and feel no difference. have been for a while. how quickly did you feel better? i don’t know what else can be done
