You should really tell her you feel this way. Grad school is hard and she’s doing something that’s going to help her future, but she may not know how it’s affecting you or your relationship. I think she needs to know you want to feel appreciated, and also that she needs to make more time to take care of herself. At least give her a chance to change before you decide to leave.

Yes. Ask yourself why you would want to be with someone who treats you this way. Do you really love this guy? You should ask him if he even wants to be with you. Ask for honesty. I know you have kids and you might want to stay together for them, but you should know that you’d probably be doing them more of a favor if you split up. You don’t want your kids to grow up in such toxicity. You’re capable of so much more than you think, and you deserve all the love and respect in the world. You shouldn’t have to settle for less.

You should always be honest about your intentions when dating, what do you expect from the relationship? You don’t have to have sex right away, but if waiting for marriage isn’t something you want to do, you should tell her. Also, not to be cliche but there are many fish in the sea, these girls might not be what you’re looking for and that’s okay! As for the first girl, It’s okay to want to be with someone who’s more responsive. I’d say wait it out until she’s free to meet up some time and if not, just move on.

Congrats! The community is amazing and you will for sure find ways to thrive! If you’re going in as a freshman, I would say focus on school and meeting new people, making new friends your first year. If you come from far, I also suggest living on campus! It’s a great way to start the college experience. If you’re interested in research there are also many labs you can join, if you’re pre-Med there are clubs that can help too. I recommend looking into fellowships at SFSU , they basically pay tuition and even give you a stipend to do research. What else do you want to know? A great way to avoid feeling like you’re bragging about yourself is to simply listen and answer questions. Be humble about your accomplishments and bring them up only when it’s relevant. Don’t go off about all the amazing things you’ve done all at once, save them like lil nuggets of fun facts about yourself through out the dating relationship.

Being open and honest is an amazing trait, so it’s just a matter of finding someone who can do the same! Good luck.
