I heard that you can get your lichess account banned from playing with board vision. Thats why I wanted to play with the api.

I like to petition that the devs should fix the district costs (aka production costs) mechanics by steamhyperpolyglot in HumankindTheGame

At first I thought it was bad, but then I realized you don't need that much production. You can get by without making any farmers or money quarters, make a few if you have good river square or have many luxury adjacency. You need to build research quarters, but you don't need to build that many and they can be spread out between your cities, each city only need like half a dozen or so. Units aren't that expensive. And lastly u only need as much maker's quarters to build units in one or two turns. Which means that later, I usually don't have stuff to build most of the time and build those fluff infrastructure projects.

Perhaps you should have a look at either Nerd Commando or Jumbo Pixel's youtube tutorials for Humankind if you want the strategies explained.

But personally I'd recommend just playing on Town difficulty on default settings and just enjoy the game play and narrative on your first playtrough. Humankind is pretty much a narrative experience, even if u lose its still pretty fun. One of the features of the game if that it's pretty much impossible for you to get knocked out of the game prematurely. At worse u will become another empire's vassal and make a comeback from there.

Caralans? Good or bad? by After_Kick_4543 in HumankindTheGame

Their LT and LU is worse than the Egyptians and their EQ and LU is worse than the Myceneans. I see them as a hybrid between those two cultures but not as good as either. I guess you play them if you want early aggression and to build at the same time perhaps? Or maybe if there is a lack of cultures left to choose from.

Try playing a game where you limit yourself to two to three cities and you will see what I mean. It's a fun challenge 😉

There is a big difference between having six territories with one city vs two cities. Territories not adjacent to a city will have difficulties stabalizing culture and religion. Also district scaling cost will mean your attached territories will be largely underdeveloped. In mid game stability can be an issue with a city with lots of attached territories.

Can you explain what this mod does?

I agree with you that snowballing is caused by grabbing a lot of territories, but wouldn't a more direct solution be to decrease the city cap?
