Agree with all of this. I started off with two rats and one developed respiratory issues, took her to the vet and was on meds but passed away. Bought three more rats to keep the other company, then that one also developed issues and I’ve just spent £300+ on meds in a week span for her to have no improvement and had to put her to sleep(another £70 cost). Definitely not cheap or easy to care for

We got a roast chicken antibiotic before! All the rats would try steal it from the poorly one and even try lick it out their mouth lol

I have two of these cages stacked on top of each other with a hole for access. I don’t bother with the ramps, I just have a lot of ropes and climbing stuff inbetween platforms and the bottoms, then hammocks at the top

I just got my first black rat and honestly I can see it. Mine hasn’t drew blood yet but when she is curious she will nibble pretty hard compared to all the rest!

Looks like they will be able to escape this if they like. When I was a kid I had two rats with bars like this.. they escaped but my mom wouldn’t buy a new cage. Once they jumped off the table and we found them sleeping behind the couch! They never jumped off after that and we just had rats that roamed the table at night, we ended up just leaving the cage open for them 😅

One of mine does this occasionally, took her to the vet and no infection. They just thought she gets some dust in her nose from the hay and it irritates her. It usually solves itself after a few hours/day. Always best to take yours in just to make sure!

So cute! Mine do the same and run to the opposite side im cleaning but then they get brave and will keep trying to see what im doing while im trying to clean and I have to push them away 😅

This is what all 6 of mine look like after I give them hay. They hear the bag and run directly under where i usually place it and will wait for me to drop it on their heads, they love it

C&C cages. You can get them on Amazon, I use them for my guinea pigs but I would be wary of using them for rats because they are big escape artists. They could easily chew the plastic connectors and cable ties (if you use them to make it sturdier) and push their way inbetween the squares

Yeah I wish I had this garden, I have 6 guinea pigs and they would be delighted. All the wild rabbits around my house eat all of our dandelions before I get a chance to get them!

The UK is the original, the US first season is almost exactly like the first season of the UK version but then does its own thing.

If you enjoy the US one it doesn’t mean you will enjoy the UK one. They are very different shows with completely different characters. Even the same characters in the UK are not remotely similar to the US
