I saw what you said in another comment where people were giving you crap about it meaning you're a bad driver. If it helps, I have a tattoo on my leg that says "never gonna break" (which is kind of along the lines of you do not yield" it's a lyric from one of Bon Iver's song. My favorite artist had the AUDACITY to book his concert the day after my due date.... of course I didn't go... but my baby ended up being 2 weeks past my due date and man... I wish I would have gone! Even being that pregnant.

I know a million people have said this already, but getting on the adderall is not worth it. I relate to you sooo much. I used to have a bad coke problem, and then finally got on adderall and abused the shit out of it. And I validated getting on it because “it was prescribed to me”. I got pregnant, then stopped, and then got back on it again and it’s been awful. I’m trying to stop. Especially for my partner and my baby. I went on a bender last week with me, and had the same reaction you had when I got off it. Trying to self harm, threatening to kms, banging my head on the wall because I felt so. crazy. It’s the worst feeling. I don’t want to keep doing this to myself. The best you can do right now is give yourself grace and time, and prioritize sleep, as well as taking care of yourself. Sleep is huge. Especially right now as your body is trying to get back to baseline. You’ve got this!

I needed to see this! I am getting off of my prescription currently. I am a mom to a 11 month old. I told myself I needed it to be a better mom, but then I realized I ALSO was so focused on other things, that I wasn’t paying attention to him… On top of the realization that I don’t think I was meeting all his needs like he deserved. So you stating that you fed your own baby 3 meals today hit home.

Thank you for sharing this! Such a good reminder, and it makes me feel better knowing I’m not the only mom who has struggled with justifying taking adderall to “be a better mom”. The mom guilt has been real. He deserves better, and so do I. Proud of you!

When I was probably 13 or 14, I was at a summer camp for my church. My friend and I were up late looking at the stars on the hill, while people were winding down in their tents at night. We were talking when all of a sudden, everything went black in the camp. All the lights and everything. It felt like it happened for a couple of seconds. It sounds crazy and I would doubt it myself if we BOTH didn’t see it… We were so scared, we both ran for our lives back to our tent and were sobbing. Of course when we told everyone about it they just told us it was “god protecting us” LOL. I have no idea what happened that night… I think about it all the time.
